You are correct. #19 is Jacob Andrew Dillman. However, Waynesburg is in Decatur Co, Indiana. Jacob Dillman's farm is located in both Decatur and Bartholomew Counties. I believe that there were 5 homes on this property altogether. JA Dillman purchased some land with a log home. This land was in both counties. Then, he purchased more land in Bartholomew County with a log home. He built a small home on the Bartholomew County side. Then, he moved across the road once a larger home was completed. Finally, he built a very large home when he was 65 years old on the Bartholomew County side of the road. Mary Elizabeth Moor was his wife. I don't believe that her last name had an "e" at the end. She was born 3 Dec 1829 in Brookville, Indiana. Jacob Andrew Dillman was my great great grandfather. I have his family history in his own pen along with that left by my great grandfather.

I am quite certain that soldier #6, Jesse Dillman, is a cousin to the 3 brothers from Tippecanoe County. His father, Jacob Dillman, was a younger brother to Joseph Dillman. Jacob was married to Ellen Houston in 1833 in Ross County, OH. The family settled in Fulton County, IN about 1837. Jesse was born there around 1844. He had an older brother and sister, Peter and Mary, and three younger sisters, Elizabeth, Susannah and Margaret.

Jesse's father, Jacob died around 1852, and his mother married Jonathan Washington in 1854. She had another child, Sylvanus L. Washington, born about 1854. When she died in 1861, her oldest son, Peter was named guardian for the younger children.

Jesse was about twenty years old when he enlisted for a year of service at the end of the war. After the war, Jesse stayed in Fulton County, where he married Lucinda Carr in 1869. They had at least three children, including Clara A. Dillman b. ~1873, Ella Dillman b. ~1877 and Joseph Jesse Dillman b. about 1889.

Soldiers numbered 4,5 and 13 are three brothers from Tippecanoe County, IN. Their father is Joseph Dillman who married Harriet Shryock in Ross County, OH in 1825. John was born from this union, as was another brother, Cline (my great grandfather). Their mother must have died shortly after Cline's birth in 1834, because Joseph married again in Highland County, OH to Catherine Beard in 1835. She is the mother of both Thomas and James. Joseph and his family moved to Tippecanoe County sometime in the late 1830s.

John W. Dillman was born in 1829 near Chillicothe, OH. He was a boy of less than ten when the family came to Indiana. In 1847, John's older brother, William, and his step-mother both died. His father soon married again, to Elizabeth Coffenberry, the widow of John T. Critser. A year later, on Oct. 6, 1848, John married Elizabeth's daughter, Katharine Critser. They had nine children, including one unknown child and Jacob S., Eliza A., Harriet E.,

Sorry, I clicked the wrong button:

Anyway, John and Kates children included:
Jacob S. b. ~1850, Eliza A. b. ~1852, Harriet E. b. ~1856, Sarah Viola b. ~1858, Ida Belle b. ~1856, Cline L. b. 1869, Susan May b. ~1871 and Laura Olive b. ~1874.

John's youngest half-brother, James T. Dillman, joined the same regiment as John, although a different company. He was only about 16 years old, and served for just a few months. He was overtaken by illness, and died in a military hospital in Lebanon, KY without ever seeing combat. As the youngest son in the family, James had been supporting his aging parents. His father was permanently disabled after breaking his thigh and hip in a fall from a horse, and was not able to farm any longer. Joseph was later able to claim a small pension because of James' death in the service.

The third brother was Thomas Dillman born about 1837 in Ohio, just before the family moved to Indiana. He was also a farmer, and married Olive E. Husk in 1861. He enlisted in a cavalry regiment and served for a year, mostly in Kentucky and Tennessee, before being killed in a skirmish near Rheatown, TN in late 1863. He and his wife had no surviving children, and Olive remarried in 1865 to Allen G. Kelley, also from Tippecanoe County.
