Meeting opened 7.00pm. MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETING -18th July 2016

BUSINESS ARISING/PROGRESS REPORTS

Item 1: Vales Point Reserve (ongoing) – Metal groin has been installed on small jetty to stop the migration of stones. Silt fencing has been removed from pool.

Item 2: Shared pathway (ongoing) – The survey pegs on the foreshore near power station inlet indicate the underground roads to be constructed for the transport of coal. A current map has been requested from The Lands Department to confirm any changes to Power Station land. Yasmin Catley will be asked to help obtain this information. Confirmation of the route needs to be supported by Central Coast Council and a meeting with the Administrator will be organised. Funds to be sourced from Central Coast Council’s infrastructure funding.

Motion, moved (Trevor Wrightson) SECONDED (John Sauerbier) that Andrew Whitbourne and Neil Wynn attend “meet the administrator” at Lake Munmorah Shopping Centre with the view of discussing the shared pathway project. Carried.

ACTION: Contact Doug Vincent for his support. Contact Yasmin Catley for support with obtaining recent map from Lands Department.

Item 3: Eaton’s Hardware entry/exit on Ruttleys Rd (ongoing) – Noresponse has been received but the letter is with the assistant administrator.

Item 6: Chain Valley Colliery Trust Fund (ongoing) – Administrative changes have been made to the Terms of Reference by Central Coast Council to reflect the amalgamation and position changes. Once the VPA documentation has been executed, the Community Advisory Panel would be established.

Item 9: Oval amenities security and maintenance (ongoing) –

ACTION: Cleaning of gutters due Oct 2016.

Item 14: Children’s play equipment at the oval and amenities (From Item 4 Recreation area Master Plan) (ongoing) – Letters have been sent out to Mannering Park Primary School P&C, Mannering Park Pre School and Play Group advising them that the councils community consultative process is expected to start by the end of the 2016 calendar year or early 2017.

Item 15: Helipad Trinity Point (ongoing) – Information from NSW Planning & Infrastructure indicates that the EA for the modification request has not been lodged, however the Department has issued Secretary’s Environmental Requirements (SEARs) for this request. The SEARs set out the minimum information that needs to be included in the modification request so the Department can assess the impacts of the proposed modification. Once the request is submitted it will be placed on exhibition to allow residents to comment on the impacts of the proposed changes. Link to the project modification

NEW BUSINESS

a) AGM. Mannering Park Precinct Committee’s AGM will be held in September. Reminder membership fees are now due.

b) Ducks. Concerns raised at the number of Mallard Ducks (introduced species) that are roaming the streets, encouraged by residents who are feeding them.

Motion: Moved (Bruce Edgell) SECONDED (Ian Carr) That Mannering Park Precinct Committee email a flyer to residents on the contact list, encouraging residents not to feed the ducks. Carried

c) Old Mines Rescue Station – Stock pile of old car tyres observed to be stored inside fence line of facility and concerns expressed that they are a possible fire hazard.

ACTION:Contact Central Coast Council.
