MULTIPLE SENSOR FAUCET MANIFOLD SYSTEM

(16-inch On Center Framing)

PART 1 GENERAL

1.1  RELATED DOCUMENTS

A.  Drawings and other Contract Documents, listed in the agreement between the Owner and Contractor, apply to this Section.

1.2  SUMMARY

A.  Section includes multiple sensor faucet manifolds for 16 inches on center installation.

  1. 16-inch oc manifolds are used for 2-4 faucets.

1.3  ACTION SUBMITTALS

A.  Product Data: For each type of product specified.

1.  Include construction details, material descriptions, dimensions of individual components and profiles and finishes.

2.  Include rated capacities, operating characteristics, electrical characteristics, furnished specialties, and accessories.

B.  Shop Drawings: Include plans, elevations, sections, details, control wiring and attachments to other work.

C.  Product Schedule: For multiple sensor faucet manifold for each manifold to be installed.

D.  Sustainable Design Submittals:

  1. Include manufacturers product data sheet highlighting water and energy savings options.

1.4  INFORMATIONAL SUBMITTALS

A.  Coordination Drawings: Indicating dimensions of adjacent construction for installation and attachment of multiple sensor faucet manifolds.

B.  Sample Warranty: Provide sample of manufacturer’s warranty.

1.5  CLOSEOUT SUBMITTALS

A.  Project Record Documents: Record actual installation locations of multiple sensor faucet manifolds.

B.  Operation and Maintenance Data: For multiple sensor faucet manifolds to include in operation and maintenance manuals.

1.6  QUALITY ASSURANCE

A.  Manufacturer: Company specializing in manufacturing products specified in this section with minimum three years documented experience.

B.  Electrical Components: Listed and labeled as indicated below.

  1. Electric Plumbing Accessories - UL 1951, 2nd Edition, Dated July 22, 2011.
  2. Industrial control equipment - CSA C22.2 No. 14-2013.
  3. Motor-operated appliances (household and commercial) - CSA C22.2 No. 68-14, Update No. 3.

1.7  DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING

A.  Accept manifolds on site in manufacturer’s standard packaging. Inspect for damage.

B.  Protect items from damage by Work of other trades.

1.8  WARRANTY

A.  Furnish manufacturers standard 5-year warranty for multiple sensor faucet manifolds and 1-year warranty on electronics.

PART 2 PRODUCTS

2.1  PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

A.  Provide multiple sensor faucet manifolds complying with or exceeding requirements of AASME A112.18/CSA B125.1 and the International Plumbing Code.

B.  Rated Operating Pressure: 30-120 psi.

C.  Rated Operating Temperature: 40-140 degrees F.

D.  1/2-inch Port Size: Rated 4.6 GPM, PSI Drop equal to 4.2 psi at port.

2.2  FAUCET MANIFOLDS

A.  Basis-of-Design Products: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide Premiere Series multiple sensor faucet manifolds manufactured by UltraFlo Systems, LLC.

2P indicates two faucet count, 3P three faucet count, 4P four faucet count.

B.  Provide UltraFlo Premiere Series Model [ULTRP-2P] [ULTRP-3P] [ULTRP-4P].

2.3  MANIFOLD COMPONENTS

A.  Manifolds include:

  1. 12 Volt solenoid valve.
  2. Two 3/4-inch incoming water supply with shutoff valves, lead free.
  3. 3/8-inch push to connect fittings on water outlets.
  4. 1070 mixing device for temperature adjustment.
  5. 16-gauge steel, powder coated enclosure with tamper proof cover.
  6. 120 volt/12 volt waterproof built-in power adapter.

2.4  ACCESSORIES

  1. Faucets: Includes sensor and 3/8-inch supply lines with data cable adaptor.
  2. Data Cables: Numbered data cable with “patch cord” adaptability.

2.5  FABRICATION

A.  Provide multiple sensor faucet manifold assemblies manufactured as integral units ready for installation.

2.6  FACTORY FINISHING

A.  Protect finishes on exposed surfaces from damage by applying a strippable, temporary protective covering before shipping.

B.  Painted Finishes: Comply with coating manufacturer's written instructions for cleaning, conversion coating, and applying and baking finish.

1.  Factory Finish: Apply manufacturer's standard powder-coat finish immediately after cleaning and pretreating, with minimum dry-film thickness of 1 mil for topcoat.

C.  Exposed and Semi-Exposed Finish Color: White.

PART 3 EXECUTION

3.1  EXAMINATION

A.  Examine substrates for compliance with requirements for installation tolerances and other conditions affecting performance of the Work.

B.  Proceed with installation only after unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected.

C.  Examine faucet manifolds before installation. Reject items that are damaged.

3.2  INSTALLATION

A.  Comply with manufacturer's written instructions for installing multiple sensor faucet manifolds.

3.3  ADJUSTING

A.  Adjust doors, hardware, and valves after installation, for proper operation.

B.  Adjust 1070 Tempering Valve for desired temperature for all faucets.

C.  Adjust Maximum Run Time Switch to desired time.

D.  Adjust Automatic Purge Switch to desired time.

3.4  CLEANING

A.  Clean exposed and semi-exposed finished surfaces.

3.5  PROTECTION OF FINISHED WORK

A.  Protect items from damage by Work of other trades until Date of Substantial Completion.

B.  Remove and replace faucet manifolds that are damaged during construction.
