School Organizational Team Minutes

The Dean Allen Elementary School Organizational Team meeting was called to order at 4:30 PM on 1/26/17. The meeting was held in the MPR at 8680 West Hammer Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89149.

3.0General Discussion
Team discussed the budget for the New Year. Approximately $52,000 is what will be left after staffing. Mrs. Frasier informed the team that the budget is not ready tobe discussed in detailas she is waiting on corrections from the strategic budget team. Mrs. Frasier informedthe team that the budget must be approved by February 22nd.
3.1 School Plan of Operation Overview
The components of the school plan of operations were discussed with Mrs. Frasier. All CCSD schools have the same goals three priority goals regarding proficiency in reading and mathematics, closing achievement gaps, and cultural competencies of all staff members.
3.2 Approval Process for School Plan of Operations
The Principal creates the plan with the advice and assistance of the School Organizational Team. The Principal then holds a public meeting to present the plan and get it approved. The plan is then submitted to School Associate Superintendent (SAS) for approval. Who then has ten days to approve the plan? If the plan does not get approved then the SAS posts reasons for the plan not getting approved and the SAS notifies the Principal. The SAS will assist the principal as necessary to revise the plan. If the plan is approved the principal is notified. The Principal will then post the plan to the school and CCSD website.
3.3 Strategic Budget Allocations Review
Will be discussed at next SOT meeting.
3.4 School Performance Plan Goals
Jean Stratton moved to not add at this time any more goals to the performance plan. Kristine Wiese second her motion and the team voted unanimously with her. The School Performance Plan was reviewed by the SOT and all voted yes to its implementation.
