Wireless Connection
(WiFi & Hotspot)
To connect to an existing wireless configuration
Follow steps 1-8 below.
To add a wireless configuration
Description / Key Strokes1. Main Menu / Space + 1,2,3,4,5,6
2. Press space + o / Space + 1,3,5
3. Press c for connectivity / 1,4
4. Press w for wireless / If wireless Ethernet is off, press Y (1,3,4,5,6) for yes, if it is already on, proceed to step 5 / 2,4,5,6
5. Press enter
6. Press s for scan / 2,3,4
7. Press space to find desired wireless network / Most networks will be prefaced with “SSID”
8. Press enter
9. Press space / Do not change entry configuration name
10. Press enter
11. If prompted enter password / “WPA pre-shared key” Use computer braille
12. Press enter to “end of list”
13. Press space + e / Space + 1,5
14. Press y to add this record / 1,3,4,5,6
The above steps will save and add an internet configuration. Once added, you can select the configuration in your internet application, keymail, or other applications.
Turning on a Hotspot on an iOS device
When a wireless connection is not available, your phone may be equipped with a hotspot capability. Enabling hotspot on your phone will act like a WiFi connection. Data charges may apply.
1. Tap settings
2. Tap personal hotspot
3. Slide button to ON position
Turning on a Hotspot on an Android device
1. Tap settings
2. Tap tethering and WiFi hotspot
3. Tap mobile hotspot
4. Slide button to ON position
Troubleshooting Tips
· If your iOS device name has capitals or punctuation, you may need to change it to all lower case letters and no punctuation. (Changing your iOS name on your phone does not affect iTunes or other accounts)
· If your iOS hotspot password contains upper case letters or punctuation, you may need to change it to all lowercase letters.
· If you need to switch networks, follow steps 1-8, space to find desired network, and press enter.
· If you need to delete networks, follow steps, 1-3, press r for review, space to network you wish to delete, and press backspace + 2,3,5,6
· To turn off wireless connection, follow steps 1-4, press N. Turning off wireless connections will help preserve your battery.
