Academy Newsletter No 9 Monday 14th September 2015

Dear Players and Parents,

A fantastic week for the academy which has saw the return of goalkeeper and Thursday Coerver/Futsal sessions to the programme and a fantastic weekend of fixtures for all of our sides.

Great Weekend of Action for Academy Sides.

7 Wins, 1 Draw and 1 Defeat for our Academy sides in games against Airbus UK Broughton, Caernarfon Town, Aston Park Rangers Mens and Bala Town.

The weekend kicked off with our under 8s, 10s and 11s travelling away to Airbus.

We apologise to our under 9s who were left without a fixture but Airbus were unable to raise a side so it was out of our hands.

The under 8s ran out nine six winners in a very entertaining game. Joseph Barton was awarded man of the match with a very confident performance and produced a number of Nomads Moves through out.

Our under 10s were four one winners with goals coming from Connor Parry, Noah Sumner, Callum Mountain and Owen Williams in a very strong and pleasing team performance. Ethan Elliott won man of the match with a very strong performance in the centre of midfield.

The under 11s secured a three one victory with some excellent football through out. Morgan Roberts and two from man of the match Jay Mountain sealed the win.

The final game on Saturday saw an excellent two nil victory for our under 19s who beat Aston Park Rangers mens team by two goals to nil. Goals from Iwan Rogers and Jordan Fraser with sixteen year old George Coulton earning man of the match.

Sunday our under 13 and 15 sides also travelled away to Airbus.

Our under 13s recorded a superb three two win. Ben Thompson and Makenzie James with the goals along with a late winner by Finley Probert. Zak Hewitt was awarded man of the match.

The under 15s drew against last years national champions Airbus three each. Our under 15s have undergone massive tranformation over the last twelve months and a result and performance like this is a huge credit to coaches Sean Regan and Daniel Reece as well as players. Man of the match Max Moore was on the score sheet as well as two from Junior Scott.

Our under 21s fell to a disappointing one nil defeat away to Bala Town. Kieran Gaul was awarded man of the match.

The final games of the weekend saw home academy cup fixtures for our under 12, 14 and 16 sides.

The under 12s kicked off with a five nil victory with goals from hat trick Steffan Knight who was also given man of the match along with strikes from Oliver Johnson and and Louis Davies.

The under 14s followed in similar fashion recording a six nil victory. Two from James Worthington along with goals from Leo Sumner, Jack Robinson, Sion Evans and Nathan Jones. George Grieves was man of the match who was solid in defence through out.

The under 16s completed the day with a nine nil win with some excellent football on show.

Their are full match reports and stats for all sides on each teams page.

We have also added photo album and video highlights from the under 12s, 14s and 16s academy cup games also.

This totals just over £1.50 per session and game over the season! If include all of pre season sessions and games also it is just over £1.20.

A reminder this fee is none refundable . So any player who leaves will not be entitled to a refund.
