June 2013
Dear Principal/ Athletic Director/ Assistant to the AD /FHSAA Rep/ Assistant Athletic Director,
Hope all of you are doing well and have some time off to enjoy your family and friends this summer. You all deserve a break.
We have an important implementation that you need to be aware of in C2C starting with the 2013--14 school year. In administrative procedure 2.81 it states that all rosters need to be entered on C2C by the first regular season competition of the sport. We are adding that there will be a 100 dollar fee if rosters are not entered on time. We receive calls from schools/district hosts when rosters and state entry lists are not entered on time and we need to make sure that everyone is on the same page. We did impose a fee on state entry lists last year, and we will begin imposing a fee this year on rosters. The vast majority of you are already doing this, so it will not be an issue. With the new 2.0 version, schools did pretty well last year and we wanted to work with you on the transition with the new program, but this year is starting the 2nd year in C2C and we need to all be on the same page.
Here is why we need those rosters —and it is very important.
We need rosters for sport participation surveys, Title 9 information, and elgibility of students. When these reports are needed, if all of your information is in correctly for your rosters, you will be good to go when we run these reports. Also, when you roster is complete, it then takes about 30 seconds to check those students for your state entry lists. . If you don’t have a roster in C2C, we are assuming you have no team playing during the regular season.
At the end of this letter is a word document with the list of all regular season contests beginning dates and SEL dates---all of these dates are in our calendar—please highlight these and make sure your are entering your rosters at the right time and your state entry lists are ready on the due date by 5 p.m.
I realize how busy you all are, but these rosters are state entry lists are crucial for eligibility and it could put a game/season in jeopardy if they are not entered on C2C.
I sent an earlier email to you with webinar dates and we also posted a C2C manual for Coaches and Administrators on our headlines and we will send it each week during the summer with our news alerts. Please review this before the school year begins. You can call C2C and do training at their site in Punta Gorda and most information in also on . We will also have training again at our compliance seminars in the summer---Aug. 2 at Chiles HS and Aug. 9th at Osceola High School.
For regular season, you need to enter all scores/schedules for all varsity team sports and encourage you to enter the same for all individual sports and Sub Varsity levels. Parents, fans, supporters are always wanting to know the up to date information of our schools. Contracts also need to be completed on C2C. You can always call me if you need assistance, but if you could first do a help ticket with C2C as this is how they track the main issues and concerns.
So, during these summer months, make sure your C2C person is aware of the roster and state entry list dates and is ready to roll with fall sports. Before we all know it, it will be the first game of all fall sports---
**Reminder—I put this out earlier… C2C is not being supported by IE 8. Make sure the person who uses C2C has one of the following browsers: Firefox, Google Chrome 19+, Mozilla Firefox 19+, or Internet Explorer 9/10.
Always here for you if you have questions--
