JOB DESCRIPTION Nursing Lead for Camden’s Hub Service

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Ensure that the Service/Medical/Clinical Director and the AT Medics Board is provided with full information and advice on the professional nursing duties aspects of the hub service.
  1. Work with the Service Medical Directors and Service managers to facilitate a culture of clinical innovation that enables the service to be seen as a ‘centre of excellence’ for clinical practice.
  1. Provide coherent and professional leadership and direction to AT Medics’ nursing workforce involved in the delivery of this service that engages and inspires the achievement of service KPIs.
  1. Offer advice for nursing matters which may arise from time to time.
  1. Ensure appropriate nursing representation at the CQC visits.
  1. To provide advice in the development and implementation of robust systems and processes for the service to meet the requirements of AT Medics’ Clinical Governance.
  1. Ensure the development and maintenance of effective engagement within the nursing team.
  1. Provide professional advice and leadership with respect to the management of investigations, significant events and complaints, particularly the ones which are relevant to nursing duties.
  1. Ensure appropriate nursing team representation (can be face to face or virtual) in the monthly service review meetings with the CCG.
  1. Ensure appropriate nursing team representation (can be face to face or virtual) in the internal monthly service review meetings.
  1. Facilitate and provide training opportunities fornurses to ensure that AT Medics has appropriately skilled staff to meet the service requirements.
  1. Arrange 121s (can be face to face or virtual) with nursingstaff if required if there are any performance/safety concerns.
  1. Ensure that nurses are undertaking management and leadership roles in the service and receive personal and management skills development, supervision and appraisal.
  1. Offer advice to develop and implement appropriate HR policies, induction packs for nursing staff to support service delivery, negotiate and consult on them as appropriate.
  1. Establish good engagement with stakeholders’ especially local commissioners and regulatory bodies.
  1. Ensure maintenance of high quality service delivery and the service KPIs are met.
  1. Provide such other services or duties as the Board and/or Service/Medical Director may determine and agree with you from time to time.
  1. To deputise for the Service Director/ Medical Director when required.
