The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has arrested 7 persons belonging to 2 interstate gangs active in Delhi, UP, Haryana and Rajasthan. Recoveries include 4 cars and one .32 revolver which was robbed from a cinema hall owner of Bulandshahr.

FIRST GANG

The Special Investigation Team of Crime Branch Delhi Police has arrested two persons in the area of Dhirpur, Mukherji Nagar, Delhi. They were travelling in a robbed Maruti Swift car. They further disclosed involvement in three cases of car-jacking in Delhi and Haryana and one murder committed in Jhajjar, Haryana.

HC. Baljit Singh of Special Investigation Team, Crime Branch Sector 18 Rohini, Delhi received information that two desperate criminals Manoj and Nar Singh would be coming to the area of Dhirpur, Mukherji Nagar, in a Maruti Swift car sometime in the afternoon of 9.7.09. A team led by Insp. Satya Prakash including SI. Attar Singh, HC Baljit Singh, HC. Ramesh, HC. Jitender, Ct. Pradip, Ct. Pravin and Ct. Sunil was formed to further develop this information.

On 9.7.09 at about 4:30 pm the Crime Branch Team finally succeeded in apprehending Manoj and Nar Singh after laying a trap near Dhirpur, Muukherji Nagar, Delhi.

Profile of the arrested persons is as below:

1. Manoj Kumar (26) r/o Sampla, Haryana – He left college during his second year BSc from Jat College, Rohtak. He is a desperate criminal and already has a string of criminal cases registered against him in Delhi and Haryana. He used to be the sharp shooter of Ram Dhan @ Lila gang of Farmana, Haryana. His criminal involvements include robbery, dacoity, murder, attempt to murder, possession of illegal firearms and escape from jail. In March 2003 he attacked a police party in Meham, Rohtak. The police party was escorting his gang leader, Ram Dhan @ Lila from jail. He freed Ram Dhan @ Lila from the police custody and both of them escaped. Again in March 2003, he robbed a Ford Icon car in Shahjahanpur, Rajasthan. In April 2003 he shot and killed a jail warden in Hissar. In August 2003 he escaped from jail in Behror, Rajasthan. In December 2003 he again shot dead a senior manager of a telecom company in Gurgaon and robbed his belongings and his car. He has been out of jail after jumping bail since April 2008. Now he has been committing car-jackings along with his associate Nar Singh and another associate named Mangal.

2. Nar Singh (25) r/o Sampla, Haryana – He is also a desperate criminal. He was 5 years old when two persons of his village killed his father. He nursed revenge till he grew up. In March 2005 he shot dead one of them named Rajbir in his village. He was caught and sent to jail. He was convicted for life. He managed parole in November 2005 and jumped parole. He robbed a Maruti Alto car in November 2008 in Sonepat. On 29.11.08 he used this car to kill the second person involved in the murder of his father named Rohtash in Jhajhar, Haryana. He has been committing other car-jackings along with Manoj @ Vicky and another co-accused named Mangal.

CAR ROBBERIES SOLVED

1. Case FIR No. 334/08 PS. Model Town, Delhi – Maruti Swift car was robbed at gun point. Car has been recovered.

2. Case FIR No. 257/08 PS. Kundli, Sonepat, Haryana – Maruti Alto car was robbed at gun point. Car has been recovered.

3. Case FIR No. 136/09 PS. Sec-5, Gurgaon, Haryana – Tata Indigo car was robbed at gun point. This car is yet to be recovered.

MURDER SOLVED

Case FIR No. 293/08 PS. Beri, Jhajjar, Haryana – Rohtash was shot dead by Nar Singh to avenge of his father’s killing more than 20 years ago. The robbed Maruti Alto car mentioned above was used in this crime.

Both the accused have disclosed that their weapons and the robbed Tata Indigo car is with their associate, Mangal. Efforts are on to trace Mangal.

SECOND GANG

On 09.07.2009, SI Devender Kumar of the AATS/Crime Branch received secret information that some persons involved in cases of highway robberies would assemble near Peer Baba Majar in Jahanpanah Jungle opposite Seikh Sarai Authority, Ambedkar Nagar, New Delhi at 9.30 PM. A raiding party comprising of SI Devender Kumar, HC Bhim Singh, HC Amar Chand, HC Parvinder Singh, HC Hakikat Rai, HC Dharmender, Ct Ranjeet Singh, Ct Yogender, Ct. Ravinder, Ct Satpal Singh, Ct Jagat Singh, Ct Rajinder Singh, Ct Rajesh Kumar and Ct Ajay Kumar led by Inspr. Rajbir Sharma under the close supervision of ACP Sh. Jai Bhagwan, AATS/Crime Branch was constituted.

The following persons were apprehended by the team:-

1.  Rasid S/o Zahid R/o Vill. Adoli, PS Chandpur Dehat, Distt. Bulandshar (UP).

2.  Vishal Sharma S/o Kishan Lal Sharma R/o Vill. Makku, PS Nakku, Distt. Firojpur (Punjab).

3.  Sahrukh S/o Mehruddin Ali R/o Vill. Akbarpur, PS. Gulawthi, Distt. Bulandshahr (UP).

4.  Dilshad S/o Abdul Haqim R/o Vill. Gungrawali Banwaripur, PS. Salempur, Distt. Bulandshahr (UP).

5.  Naushad S/o Sagir R/o Mohalla Banjarin Rampur, PS. Rampur, Distt. Shahranpur, (UP). Receiver of stolen property. Has a ggodown at Kapashera-Gurgaon.

Following stolen vehicles and arms were recovered from their possession:-

1.  One Tavera DL-4C-AD-3542 (Fake No. HR-55-E-5797)

2.  One Santro HR-51-G-7561 (Fake No. DL-5C-4967)

3.  One Revolver .32 bore along with 5 live cartridges made in Kanpur Ordinance Factory.

Among the arrested persons, Rashid, Vishal and Dilshad are truck drivers/cleaners. Naushad is a scrap dealer and Shahrukh is his assistant.

This gang has been active in committing highway robberies in UP and Haryana. They would take a lift in trucks and later drug the driver or inject a sedative into the driver. They would then drive the truck to Naushad’s godowns in Saharanpur and Gurgaon and unload the goods. Naushad has been active in disposing the stolen goods in surrounding areas of Saharanpur.

The gang leader Rashid has also disclosed that on 26.6.2008 he had gone to a mobile dealers shop in the Khajuri area alongwith a lady. He had an altercation with one Bharat Bhushan there and he fired at Bharat Bhushan injuring him on the spot. A case vide FIR No. 187/08 u/s 307 IPC was registered at PS Khajuri Khas.

The revolver recovered is manufactured by the Indian Ordinance Factory, Kanpur. It belongs to a cinema hall owner of Bulandshar. In the year 2002, the gang intercepted the cinema hall owner, kidnapped him in his car and robbed him of all his belongings including the recovered revolver.

The Tavera car was stolen by the gang from the area of PS Adarsh Nagar (FIR No. 11/09) and the Santro car was stolen from Faridabad.

Concerned police stations have been informed for taking necessary legal action against the accused persons in their respective cases. Further investigation of the case is in progress.

A team of officers of Special Cell led by Inspr. Badrsih Dutt under the super vision of Sh.L.N.Rao, ACP has busted a racket involved in preparing fake foreign visa and passports. Four persons Nand Kishore @ Topi @ Javed (aged -32 years) r/o Sunlight Colony, Ashram, New Delhi, Dhruv Kumar @ Pradeep (aged 38 years) r/o Samaipur Badli, New Delhi, Mohd. Hussain @ Munshiji (aged- 50 years) r/o Ashram, New Delhi, Mohd. Qaseem Sheikh @ Shuklaji (aged 50 years) r/o Lucknow,U.P have been arrested. 111 tampered passports, 5 fake visas, fake stamps of Office-Surrey BC Australia; Canada High Commission; Licensing Authority, Bahraich; 40 fake forged contract agreements of Agricultural Labor Pool, Surrey, Australia and Vertical Restaurant & Bar, Toranto, Canada; fake medical papers, other incriminating documents , computer and its peripherals used in making the fake documents have also been recovered.

An information was received in the Special Cell from Central Intelligence Agency that a gang is active in Delhi and they have duped several people aspiring to go abroad. The information was further developed. On 9.7.2009 specific information was received that the gang members would assemble near DDA Park ,New Friends Colony. A trap was laid and Pradeep, Mohd. Hussain @ Munshiji and Nand Kishore were apprehended. Nine tampered passports, 5 fake Visa stickers, three fake contract agreements and five fake medical papers were recovered from their possession. On their disclosure another member of gang namely Mohd. Qaseem Sheikh @ Shuklajiwas also arrested. Raids were conducted at the office in Shivalik and residences in Hari Nagar and Badli. 105 Passports including the tampered ones, 5 loose fake visas 6 pasted fake visa on passports, Fake stamps of Office-Surrey BC Australia, Canada High Commission, Licensing Authority, Bahraich, 40 fake work contract agreements; 35 medical papers, one computer and its peripherals used in making fake supporting documents and stamp making equipment were also seized. A case under the appropriate sections of law has been registered at PS Special Cell, Lodhi Colony, New Delhi

All the accused persons were subjected to sustained interrogation. They disclosed that the gang had its office in Shivalik and Mohd Hussain @ Munshiji was the front man in the office and others also visited office off and on. When approached by client, the gang initially charged Rs.10,000/- and took the passport from him and kept it with them. After few days they would prepare a fake contract and a fake work permit of foreign country like Australia and Canada. They would also affix fake visas on the passport of their clients. After taking hefty payment they would change their number as well as office and disappear.

The gang identified their targets through their networks in other states and also by advertising in newspapers. Initially the gang charged small fee to gain the confidence of the customer. The gang after completing the formalities, pasted fake visas on the passports and charged Rs. 2.60 lakhs to 3.50 lakhs per visa from their clients. After getting money the gang would disappear.

Further investigation is in progress.

GRUESOME MURDER CASE SOLVED BY WEST DISTRICT POLICE

Exhibiting excellent investigative skills, perseverance and high degree of professional competence, sleuths of West District Police has lifted the curtains on the mystery behind the gruesome murder case reported at Police Station Rajouri Garden on 09.07.2009 by arresting two accused persons including the wife of deceased person.

ACCUSED ARRESTED:

1.  Puneet @ Arsh Deep, 31 years s/o Satnam Singh Sachdeva r/o J-5/157, Ist Floor, Rajouri Garden, Delhi

2.  Sumit Kaur, 28 years, w/o Late Jagmohan Singh Kohali R/o G-16/7-A, Rajouri Garden Delhi.

PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED

1. Puneet @ Arsh Deep

He has studied up to 12th and after that worked with his father in their business of readymade garments in Karol Bagh. Later on, he started giving loan to people on a hefty rate of interest. He even used to charge 10-20 % per month on the financed money. Due to easy money returns, he was in the habit of daily drinking and heavy gambling and he suffered big losses.

2. Sumit Kaur

She has studied up to 12th and after that she came in contact with Jagmohan @ Jugnu. They both fell in love and got married. In the starting years of marriage she was very happy but when once Jagmohan @ Jugnu smelled her friendship with one of his friend, he became suspicious and started keeping watch on her which was not like by Sumit.

RECOVERIES

INCIDENT

In the night of 8/9.07.2009, at about 2.55 AM, a PCR call was received at PS Rajouri Garden regarding “MERE BHAI KO CHAKU MAAR DIYA”. After reaching the spot at G-16/7A IInd Floor Rajouri garden, it was found that one Sh.Jagmohan Singh @ Jugnu (32 years) s/o Late Sh. Jai Mal Singh had been brutally stabbed and killed. Sh.Savinder Pal Singh S/o Sardar Jasbir Singh, cousin brother was found present there and reported that Jagmohan @ Jugnu was married with Sumit Kaur about 9 years ago and from last three years there was a rift between them due to their misunderstanding. Sumit had gone to her parental home with her children since last three months and on 8.7.09, she had returned alone, leaving the children with her parents. He further stated that in the night of 8/9.7.09 at about 2.45 AM, Sumit had come to his house and stated that some untoward has happened with Jagmohan and when they reached at Jagmohan’s home, he was found stabbed and murdered. On the basis of his statement a case vide FIR No., 234/09 U/s 302 IPC dated 9.7.2009 PS Rajouri Garden was registered.
