CAREERS APPOINTSSTANLEY KULESATO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Valhalla, NY - - CAREERS for People with Disabilities, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to finding productive employment for individuals with disabilities, announces that

Stan Kulesa has joined its board of directors. “Stan brings decades of valuable experience in disabilityadvocacy to our board and we are fortunate to have him as a board member,”Executive Director Tina Cornish-Lauria says.

Stan Kulesa is an Assistant Vice President at The Standard Life Insurance Company of New York (The Standard) located in White Plains, NY. He has worked in the field of disability management since 1981 when he began adjudicating claims for the Social Security Administration. Stan later went to work for and held management positions at several major disability insurance carriers. He joined The Standard in 1999 and oversees their east coast claims operation.

Stan is a member of the Disability Management Employer Coalition and the American Council of Life Insurers. He has represented The Standard as a featured speaker at multiple conferences on various disability-related topics. Over the course of his career, Stan has earned a number of professional designations, including: Health Insurance Associate; Associate, Life and Health Claims; Associate, Customer Service; and Certified Professional in Disability Management. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from MercyCollege and his Master’s degree from Long IslandUniversity. Stan and his wife, Jean, are residents of Mohegan Lake, NY.
