The service gives necessary reassurances to education employers that they are discharging their statutory responsibilities in the field of Educational Visits and Outdoor Learning.Schools and settings which subscribe to the service automatically receive access to a robust visit notification system alongside information, guidance and advice. Other schools, may alternatively purchase advice and guidance from a commercial provider. The expectation is that any service so purchased will be as robust as that provided by the Council.

Training, including bespoke school based training is part of the fully traded service as described above. It will give schools and other settings a mechanism for ensuring the competence of Educational Visits Co-ordinators and Visit Leaders. Schools which do not subscribe to the service are welcome to access training, for which they will be charged.
