Grand Knight’s Message: Kathy and I wish each and every member of the Council a very Happy Thanksgiving. If you are traveling, please drive carefully. There are a lot of crazies out there behind the wheel!
Don’t Forget Our Seminarians:
Speaking of upcoming holidays, let’s not forget our two young seminarians who, I am sure, would appreciate a greeting card every now and then to let them know we are praying and thinking about them and to cheer them up. We have two seminarians again this year: (1) The first is Francisco-Ornate-Vargas whom we are sponsoring for the second year. He is at St. Mary’s Seminary in Texas where he is studying 2nd Theology. Michael Cellars is the new seminarian who was just assigned to us last month. He is at the same seminary as Francisco where he is studying 1st Pre-Theology. Their mailing address is:

Soccer Challenge:
We have had several years of poor showings for our Council’s Annual Soccer
Challenge which we held on the field behind the church. The children of our parish, like many in our families, are involved in so many activities that it was difficult to find time for our K of C event. Thanks to Brother Danner Thompson who is VERY involved with youth activities in the City of Conway, this year we will conduct the Soccer Challenge at the Conway Recreation Field behind Big Lots and Applebee’s off US 501. The date is Saturday, November 14, and the start time is 9 AM. We need Brothers to assist with the set-up and scoring. Please come out and have some fun!
Congratulations to New 2nd and 3rd Degree Brothers:
On Saturday, Oct. 24, 2nd and 4rd Degrees were held at St. Andrew in Myrtle Beach. Those who underwent the 2nd Degree were: Rev. Sam Oloyede and Ron Blank. The new 3rd Degree Knights are: Rev. Sam Oloyede, Ron Blank, Rodrigo Prieto, Ricardo Soto, Ignacio Huerta, and Martic Ramirex-Mendez. Well done and congratulations!
Annual Memorial Mass – Will be held at the 8 AM Mass on Sunday, November 1 (All Saints Day). The list of deceased Brother Knights from our Council is included as a permanent part of our Council website (address given above). May our Brothers rest is peace.
Manny, Many Thanks to our Dynamic Father-Son Duo of Pardee and Kevin Abadie who chaired our Annual Golf Tournament on October 31. Pardee is a newcomer to our Council who hit the ground running and for whose membership we are most appreciative. Super job, Brothers!
Christians in the Middle East
As we are about to enter the upcoming major holiday season here in the US, the Supreme Council reminds us that many of our Christian counterparts in the Middle East are in fear of their lives. Perhaps we can all make a donation to this
most worthy cause for our soul-mates who now reside in the region where Jesus once lived. See sample donation form attached.
Knight of the Month: Jerry Estwick who unhesitatingly stepped forward when a widowed Brother needed transport for same-day surgery.
Family of the Month: Larry & Kathy Mathias who despite some recent health setbacks, never let anything permanently keep them from helping the parish and Council!
