Webinar Virtual On-line Captain Meeting Guidelines

“GatherPlace”

1.  Thursday, September 29th - 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

2.  Captain attendance is mandatory.

3.  You will receive an invite email to the GatherPlace Session. Please test your browser before the meeting at http://www.gatherplace.net/test

To Join the webinar meeting:

1.  Go to GatherPlace website (www.GatherPlace.net). You can join a session

from a Mac, Windows or Linux system with no software installation required.

While Mozzilla Fire Fox is suppose to work with GatherPlace some test have

shown some problems with the software. USTA Maryland recommends you use Internet Explorer instead.

2.  Click the Join a Session Access Code: 2258594

3.  Enter your name and email address then click the Join button

4.  You will be directed to the Join a Session web page. The first time the browser will be tested for Java. The Guest can connect to the session immediately if it passed the test. If it did not pass the test, you will be asked to choose an option. Choose View the presentation only to connect immediately with SureView (using HTML, which all browsers use. Note: using SureView allows Guests to view only, i.e. they will not be able to show their screen, text chat, have audio or use remote control.

5.  To hear the audio portion: Phone in. Dial the teleconference #: 800 – 704-1867, code 6689435#. Please put your phone on mute *6.

6.  During the meeting, you may ask short questions, or leave the moderator a chat message for the Q&A session at the end of the meeting. The Chat button is found in the upper left corner of the viewing screen.

7.  To print documents during the webinar session:

1.  Copy the contents on the screen by hitting the Print Screen (Print Scrn) button on your keyboard.

2.  Open a blank document with Microsoft Word.

3.  Paste the screen copy into the word document.

4.  Print the document.
