Gandalf the Grey’s Jelly Beans
When Gandalf the Grey was very young (not quite Grey yet- more like Gandalf the Blonde), he liked to perform and observe many experiments. For Gandalf’s first experiment, he decided to grow jelly bean plants. Gandalf wanted to test whether water or sugar water would produce the most jelly beans. Gandalf performed his experiment for one month and checked his two plants every other day.

Results: Both of the plants seemed to grow at a steady pace, but on the 16th day, there was a big surprise! When Gandalf woke up to count the jelly beans, the plant with water DOUBLED the amount from the 14th day and the plant with sugar water TRIPLED the amount of jelly beans! Very curious!
After the 16th day, every time Gandalf observed the Jelly Bean plants, one jelly bean was added to each plant. Finally, on the last day, Gandalf observed one last strange occurrence- the jelly bean plant with sugar water died! All of the jelly beans had rotted and the plant withered away.
