As well as a sound recordist, Rich has also worked as a cameraman and assistant, which gives him the addedadvantage of understanding the requirements of the cameraman/ production and helping to film if necessary. Most of his work is done wireless between camera and sound.

Very experienced 'live' Outside Broadcast Sound Engineer and has been previously employed by the BBC to instruct in Location Sound Training.

He has worked in various locations around the world, ranging from Australia to Peru, Argentina to The Arctic, as well as desert and jungle terrain.

Rich is a very proficient skier with 25 years experience (can ski and film etc.) and an advanced driver (especially 4x4 terrain).

He has served just less than 7 years in HM Forces (Army) gaining both UN Peacekeeping and Gulf War 1 medals. Rich was a DJ for 8 yrs & ran the Flora London Marathon in April 2003 raising £6000 for cancer research so he is fit, resilient and practical.

Rich also has a Blue Peter badge!

Rich has completed the BBC Health and Safety Training Course – Safe Working with Lights and Cameras on Productions.
