Abstract
If you are required to include an abstract of your paper, write a single paragraph that concisely and accurately summarizes the content of your paper. Abstracts generally contain 150 to 200 words. Ask your professor if there is a limit on maximum number of words. Do not indent the first line of the abstract.
Title of My Paper
Start each paragraph with a half-inch indent, and double-space throughout your paper. Margins are one inch on all sides. The reference list should start at the top of a new sheet at the end of your paper.
The title of your paper should summarize the main topic of your paper and identify the variables or issues under investigation and the relationship between them. APA recommends keeping the length of your title to no more than 12 words.
The cover sheet should include a header with the label “Running head:”, followed by a shortened version of your title (no more than 50 characters including spaces) in capital letters. The running head is at the left margin of your header, and the page number is at the right. In WORD 2007, insert the page number on the left of the header, type in the shortened title, and tab the page number to the right side of the header.
