RULES
1. Exhibitor must be between 9-18 years of age as of January 1, 2017.
2. All entry forms must be filed with the show management no later than September 13, 2017. Entry forms must be completely filled out.
3. Decisions of the judge are final.
4. All heifers must meet North Carolina health requirements.
5. Each exhibitor is limited to two (2) entries.
6. Heifers are released after the completion of the entire show.
7. Exhibitors and/or their immediate family members found cheating, misrepresenting or participating in fraud or deception or acting in an unsportsmanship like manner, shall be disqualified and possibly barred from future competitions.
8. The superintendent reserves the right to exclude from competition any entry which is late entering the show ring.
9. Any disputes or questions are to be directed to the show superintendent.
10. Exhibitors are responsible for the care of their animals while at the fair.
11. Any questions not covered by these rules will be ruled upon by the show superintendent.
12. Heifers eligible to show must be born after September 1, 2015
13. Heifers must be halter broken. Unruly animals which endanger the safety of others will be asked toleave the ring.
14. If there are sufficient entries, breeds may be divided into British, Exotic, and Commercial Divisions.
15. Classes within each division will be set based on the ages of the entries.
*16. Due to limited barn space, fitting will not be allowed (clipped and washed only).
*17. Animals used in showmanship competition must be entered in the Wilson County Fair in the name of the showmanship exhibitor.
PRIZES: Grand Champion - $150.00 and Award
Reserve Champion - $ 75.00 and Award
SHOWMANSHIP: *Three age divisions: Junior (9-11)
Intermediate (12-14)
Senior (15-18)
There will be no entry fee for showmanship.
*Age as of January 1, 2017
Steers & Heifers will show together in showmanship.
Minimum premium for each age division:

5. Hogs must be barrows or gilts of any breed or crossbred.
6. Hogs will be weighed between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM on Tuesday, September 19, 2017.
7. *Hogs must weigh between 220 and 280 pounds.
8. Entries will be divided in classes at the discretion of the show committee.
9. Exhibitors are responsible for the care of their animals.
10. There will be no sale.
11. Exhibitors and/or their immediate family members found cheating, misrepresenting or participating in fraud or deception or acting in an unsportsmanship like manner, shall be disqualified and possibly barred from future competitions.

9. Kids will be weighed in between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 23, 2017.
10. Kids must be dry at weighing.
11. Entries will be divided into classes at the discretion of the show committee.
12. Kids are released after the competition of the entire show.
13. Exhibitors and/or their immediate family members found cheating, misrepresenting or participating in fraud or deception or acting in an unsportsmanship like manner, shall be disqualified and possibly barred from future competitions.

I have read the attached rules and regulations and agree to comply with these regulations as set forth by the Wilson County Fair. The sponsors, members of the Show Committee and Exhibitors will not be responsible for damages incurred in connections with the show.
Changes in Admissions Policy
1. Each registered livestock participant will be given 1 free pass per exhibitor for each day and 2 additional passes for parents. If 2 plus kids in family are showing livestock, only 2 additional passes per family will be given for parents.
2. All free livestock passes must be used at the livestock gate (Gate 5).
3. Additional tickets will be available at the regular price of $7.00 at Gate 5 for others who may be travelling with participants or for participants who leave their passes at home.
4. Passes will be mailed to exhibitors after entries are received.
