RACE 1 – Greyhounds Are Lovable Grade 6 452M

Rulla Hodge and Posh Renegade were slow out. Media Muzzle went up with the lids and subsequently stumbled and as a result was slow out. On the first turn Rulla Hodge crossed to the rails severely checking Classic Chatts who stumbled. Approaching the home turn Classic Chatts and Ruby Jo bumped checking Classic Chatts. Approaching the winning post Rulla Hodge and Bunna Boy bumped. Media Muzzle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected. Classic Chatts underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.

Approaching the first turn Droopy’s Ella and Destiny’s Gem bumped checking Destiny’s Gem. On the home turn Turbo Riley and Destiny’s Gem bumped. Entering the home straight Miller’s Magpie and Shing Lee bumped checking both greyhounds.

Soon after the start Bearville Wigi, Hunter’s Hero, Next Matador and Droopy’s Dasher bumped checking Hunter’s Hero and Next Matador. Soon after Bearville Wigi and Next Matador bumped. Approaching the first turn Droopy’s Dasher, Hinnomunji Fire and Cosmic Fire bumped, checking Hinnomunji Fire. On the first turn Hunter’s Hero and Next Matador bumped. At the same time Droopy’s Dasher and Milly’s Legacy bumped, checking Milly’s Legacy and Rich Marlow. On the second turn Whispering Ash hit the rail checking Whispering Ash, Mr. Fencer and Tarma Lass. Soon after Ruby Bailey and Annie’s Song bumped checking Annie’s Song. In the home straight Cyndiana Miss and Ruby Bailey bumped. Whispering Ash underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising to its right hind quadriceps muscle. Whispering Ash has been stood down from racing for a period of 4 days. Mr. Fencer underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected. Tarma Lass underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds to its left hind leg. Tarma Lass has been stood down from racing for a period of 3 days. Cyndiana Miss underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to its left front leg. Cyndiana Miss has been stood down from racing for a period of 10 days. Stewards spoke to lure driver Mr W Ivory into the reasons why the lure ceased momentum in the run up towards the starting boxes. After taking evidence off Mr Ivory, Stewards accepted his explanation that he was unable to determine whether the starter had signalled the start of the event and as such momentarily paused before setting the lure in motion on the second occasion.

Approaching the winning post Buckle Up Kazu, Hello Nancy and Joker Jones bumped. Keep Ya Stripes underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds to its right hind leg. Keep Ya Stripes has been stood down from racing for a period of 2 days. A post race swab sample was taken from Droopy’s Jacket, winner of the event.

On the first turn Despicable Mini checked off the heels of Parma Chief and as a result Despicable Mini, Vitor and Whodat Joker bumped checking all three greyhounds. At the same time Shogun Steel checked off the heels of Parma Chief. Soon after Despicable Mini and Bearville Grub bumped checking Bearville Grub. On the home turn Bearville Grub checked off the heels of Whodat Joker. Whodat Joker underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.

Gun Swinger and Wyatt’s Will were slow out. Soon after the start Tecoma Bob, Mental As Ben and Honcho Bound bumped. Approaching the first turn Mental As Ben checked off the heels of Westburn Jack. At the same time Wyatt’s Will faulted. On the first turn Tecoma Bob, Mental As Ben and Honcho Bound bumped checking Mental As Ben and Honcho Bound. Approaching the home turn Mavista Falls and Westburn Jack bumped. In the home straight Westburn Jack and Mavista Falls bumped. Wyatt’s Will underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising and soreness to its right hind quadriceps muscle. Wyatt’s Will has been stood down from racing for a period of 5 days. Stewards spoke to trainer representative Mr I Thomas in relation to Wyatt’s Will’s racing manners in the back straight and approaching the first turn. Acting on their own observations, viewing the official replays and taking evidence from Mr Thomas, Stewards were of the opinion that Wyatt’s Will had eased and by doing so had failed to pursue the lure with due commitment throughout the event by reason of injury pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a). Wyatt’s Will has been stood down until the completion of a satisfactory trial. A post race swab sample was taken from Tecoma Bob, winner of the event.

Approaching the home turn I’ve Got You, Spring Gully Jed and Long View Belle bumped checking Spring Gully Jed. On the home turn I’ve Got You and Long View Belle bumped checking I’ve Got You, who fell, checking Locknane Pedro. Approaching the winning post Frosty’s Capable and Regent Lois bumped. Spring Gully Jed underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected. I’ve Got You underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.

GENERAL:

Posh Diesel completed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as it was stood down from the Launceston Greyhound Racing Club meeting held on 9 November 2015 pursuant to GAR 69(1) for marring. Weighing 32.4 kilograms and beginning from box 3, Posh Diesel completed the 452 metre trial distance in a time of 25.89. Posh Diesel has been cleared to race at all tracks except Launceston.

Topline Banjo completed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as it was stood down from the North West Greyhound Racing Club meeting held on 17 November 2015 pursuant to GAR 69(1) for marring. Weighing 33.3 kilograms and beginning from box 3, Topline Banjo completed the 452 metre trial distance in a time of 25.64. Topline Banjo has been cleared to race at all tracks.
