Dues are $25.00 for 2010.

About SEGA Chapter Dues
The SEGA Board of Directors has decided that Chapter yearly dues will continue to be $25.00 in 2010.
Dues are levied for the calendar year which runs from January 1st through December 31st. Dues are not prorated for partial year membership.

Dues for renewing members - If dues were not paid prior to March 31st Chapter Membership is considered cancelled. The nurse can continue to attend meetings as a guest but will be required to pay $10.00 for each meeting until the time he/she re-applies for membership and the dues are paid.

ONCC Call for Nominees

Have you considered serving on a Board of Directors? ONCC-certified nurses are wanted for nominees for the next Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) Board of Directors Election.

ONCC is calling for nominations for one position on the ONCC Board of Directors that will be open for election in November 2010. This position is open any nurse who is currently ONCC-certified, including OCN®, AOCN®, CPON®, AOCNP®, AOCNS®, CBCN®, and CPHON certified nurses. The position is for a three-year term that will begin June 1, 2011. To learn more about the position or download the nomination packet got to http://www.oncc.org/election.shtml . Completed nomination packets must be returned to ONCC by July 23, 2010.

A slate of candidates will be announced in the fall, and online voting will begin in November 2010. You can help shape the future of oncology certification by submitting a nomination for yourself, or encouraging a qualified colleague to consider the position.


NWGRCC and Blue Ridge AHEC Initiate OnlineTrainingfor RN, SW & CHW Navigators

The Northwest Georgia RegionalCancer Coalition and Blue Ridge Area Health Education Center have implemented an online Cancer Care Nurse Navigator training program forregistered nursesand Cancer Services Navigator training for Social Workers and Community Health Workers. Nursing and social work creditswill beawarded forcompletion. Course work -- which includes 13 units with 2 to 10 modules each -- can becompleted online at the student's own pace. Participants are given a notebook to fill in as they watch video seminars and download PowerPoint’s. Tests are given at the completion of each unit and an exam isgiven at the end of the program.
