EVS METAL TAKES DELIVERY OF AN AMADA FOM2 NT LASER

Riverdale, NJ – July 07, 2011 -- EVS Metal, Inc., a leading supplier of custom fabricated sheet metal, integration, machined parts and engineering services, today announced that it has competed installation of an Amada FO 4020NT Laser.

The FOM2 NT is designed and engineered to reliably and economically cut all types of material in a full range of thicknesses. This state of the art laser includes an Operator-friendly Windows based network compatible control, X-Axis "dual drive" rack & pinion gantry for precise location at the fastest speed, High-speed pallet shuttle, Water Assisted Cutting System (WACS™) which uses an adjustable water mist to absorb heat generated by the cutting process, SFP (Spatter Free Pierce) function for cleaner high-speed piercing in thicker material and a 4000 watt CW laser source utilizing the latest technology to improve optic life. To further improve efficiency EVS has chosen to include Automatic Nozzle changing and a vision sheet position system for post punch processing.
