It is mandatory that each cheerleader is at every practice. One missing team member can prevent the entire squad from being able to practice.
**There will be an additional Monday Practice the week beforecompetitions**
Practice Attire
- The cheerleaders should wear comfortable clothing (t-shirts, gym shorts). Please no spaghetti straps and no skirts or jeans!
- They should have sneakers with laces and backs/socks.
- Hair should be pulled back and up in ponytail.
- There is no jewelry to be worn for both practices and games (i.e. earrings, sillybands etc).
- No nail polish for both games and competitions.
Practice General Info
Due to space availability, safety, and distractions, parents will not be allowed to stay and watch practices. However, all cheerleaders regardless of age must be picked up inside the building. We will release the cheerleaders one team at a time starting with flag. Please pick them up in the area behind the net.
No food or beverage is allowed on the turf. Waterbottles are okay, but only plain water (no flavored waters or Gatorade). Be sure your cheerleader is hydrated during the day and has water with her at every practice.
Please have your child go to the bathroom prior to practice and check that she is not wearing any jewelry.
Please drop offpick up on time!
Fun Nights
Once we move inside,we will hold fun nights on Thursdays. All week long individual
cheerleaders can strive to be most improved, teams can strive to have the most spirit, and
individuals can try to have the craziest spirit of the day item:
1st Thursday - Color Day: A team:Purple

2nd Thursday - Crazy Sock Day
3rd Thursday- Crazy Hair Day
4th Thursday - Spirit Day (Wear our colors: BLUE, GOLD, WHITE)

**All teams (except flag) will remain at competitions to support their sister teams!**
Note: While we will strive to look great, perform well, and be our best, every time we hit the floor, it is important to remember that we are a recreational league where anyone who wants to cheer is able to join (there are no tryouts). Our goal for all is to HAVE FUN, while safely learning to cheer!

Supply List
Below is a list of hair supplies each cheerleader will need for competitions.
- A firm NON Aerosol hairspray
Example: Aussie Instant Freeze, Pump it up, Hot, Hot, Hot, Rave
- Sponge Rollers
About 2-3 packages (more if hair is very thick),assmall possible for your daughter’s hair type.
- Bobby Pins
Try to match hair color (lighter ones for lighter hair, darker for dark hair).
- Bandana
Any color or style as long as it can hold hair in the rollers overnight.
- Hairbow(will be handed out closer to game date)
The hairbow will be used in all competitions and games (please keep it in a safe place)
Please label all items (except game bow) and place in a bag/containerand bring to hair curling party.
Hair curling parties are held the evening prior to most competitions, typically Friday evenings, and at a Host parent’s home. The girls should wear tops they can sleep in, and that either button down or have a very large head opening to avoid touching the hair. During the party, girls will get their hair done, eat, and have team building activities. Parents will be asked to provide a dish to pass to some parties if possible. Parents should also consider dressing in our colors, and bringing as many noisemaker items (including voices) to our competitions to help cheer on our AWESOME TEAMS!!!!

**Each child must purchase and wear a NAVY BLUE CAMI under their Crop Top for game day and Competitions.
**Also each cheerleader must purchase 1 pair of “no show” white socks for competitions.

July (TBD)–Webster Schroeder High School Cheer Camp (register through Webster Parks and Recreation) Monday –Thursday 5 to 9pm. Last year it was the second week in July.
July (TBD)- Webster Thomas High School Cheer Camp-Tuesday- Friday 12:30 to 4:30. Last year it was the last week in July.
*Flag will be sized for Uniforms, croptops and bloomers at the July Uniform handout.
