Premier Division League Cup Group ‘B’
Harold Wood ‘A’ had a comfortable 6-1 home and over Emeronians, Ross Damrell (3), Jay Biagioni Joe Efde and James Baxter scoring.
Premier Division– Great Leighs in second spot entertained Third placed CT.66 and both sides scored once to share the points.
Division One– Extreme produced another good result with a 4-1 home win over Haver Town. Justice Owusu’s early goal for the visitors did not help them however. Haver also had a player dismissed.
Leaders Brentwood Utd., and Charlie Morris in particular were too good for Stock and won 3-0. The home side were 2 down at half-time. Morris (2) and Jack Sawyer for the impressive visitors.
Sandon Royals won 4-0 at Cooke O’Rourke with goals in the second half from Paul Harvey (2), Dave Muir and Paul Kavanagh.
Division Two – League Cup Round Two – Bottom of the table Rayleigh Town ‘A’ had a surprise 2-1 at home to Harold Wood ‘B’.John Jay Lawless scoring the winner’s goals, the visitors goal coming from an own goal.
League – the Top of the table clash was won by runaway Leaders CT.66 Res. seeing off visitors Hutton ‘A’ 2-1.
Pitsea Athletic went down 2-1 to visitors Dunmow Rhodes, David Newcombe scoring for Pitsea who had aREDCARDshown
Eight goals at Southminster, with visitors Writtle Res. going down 5-3. Writtle were in front after only 5 minutes.
Charlie Boyle scored from 20 yards to level and Jake Bastone put the home-side into a half-time lead. Writtle levelled but in the closing stages Southminster went 3 in front through Jack Martin, Ryan Barker and Connor Harris before Writtle added a third.
Division Three– Leaders Braintree & Bocking Res. lost top spot to visitors Flitch Untd. Res. going down 3-2. Toby Parsons scoring a goal in each half for Braintree.
Lowly Durning had a superb 5-1 win at Writtle Manor – Rob Gregory scoring 4 first half goals to see the visitors into a 4-1 interval lead. Adam Freeman scored their fifth.
Beacon Hill Rovers ‘A’ won 4-2 at home to Maldon Saints. Martin Wass, Michael Baker, Ben Collins and Swain Foreman netting.
Division Four – Second placed Gosfield Res. beat visitors Mundon Vics 3-1. Tom Doughty, Godfrey James and Dan Symms scoring.
Emerson United moved off-of the bottom with a 6-0 home win over Broomfield Res. Ashley Vincent Gabriel (2). Phil Collins (2).Tunde Balogun and Eugene Nyandu-Opoku their scorers.
