Welcomes you to our 33rd “Restore and Ride” rally.

On 26/27/28th May 2017.

For motorcycles manufactured up to & including 1987.

The venue is the Sawtell Beach caravan and camping grounds, 5 Lyons Road Sawtell (02) 6648 4485.

General information

FUEL - there is no fuel servo at Sawtell. The nearest fuel is at Boambee Bay on Sawtell road 3km to the north of Sawtell. To the South it’s 5km to fuel on Pine Creek way at Bonville. Rally rides pass these servos, but it is preferable that you start the ride with a full tank of fuel. On the Saturday ride, once you pass Urunga, the only fuel availability on the route to Taylor’s Arm is at Bowraville.

Extra bike(s) -You can bring as many as you like, but each one mustbe recorded on your entry form to qualify for our rally insurance. If the second (or 3rd) bike will be ridden by a rider other than yourself, a fully paid entry in the name of therider(s) must be submitted.

Extra rally badges - These will only be available if there are badges left over after all entrants have received one. If you want one, enquire at check - in to register your request. They will be $6 each if available.

33rd Restore and Ride Rally 33rdRestore and Ride Rally Programme

26th-28th May 2017

Friday, 26th May

Registrations: This will operate from around 9am till the start of the Friday ride, then again from 5pm to 7pm that evening.

Friday Ride: The briefing will commence at midday. The ride will leave from Sawtell Caravan Park and turning right up Lyons Road and onto Pine Creek Way/Keevers Drive to join Waterfall Way at Raleigh and along Waterfall way to Bellingen then across the river and onto Gleniffer, then Gordonville and SummervillesRoads to join Waterfall Way at bottom of Dorrigo Mountain. Then left along Waterfall Way back to Bellingen where we have afternoon tea at Butter Factory cafe. It is then back to Sawtell Caravan Park with a total distance of about 100kms.

BBQ Dinner: Starting about 5.30pm at Sawtell Caravan Park. Gold coin fee.

Saturday, 27th May

Registrations: The desk will be open from 8am till ride starts.

Saturday Ride: A few words of welcome and a briefing starting at 9.30am. Thenthe ride will head south along Pine Creek Way/Keevers Drive, through Urunga and along the “old highway” to Nambucca. It will then head west to Bowraville, where there will be a morning tea stop at Bowraville Central School. If low on fuel, there is a service station in Carbine Street as you leave Bowraville and head out Wilson Road to Coronation Drive and onto the Congarinni Bridge and Taylors Arms Road to the “Pub with No Beer”. After a lunch of your choice and judging, the route will be marshalled back via Macksville to Sawtell.

The judging category signs will be set up on the terrace in front of “The Pub With No Beer”and be done by appointed judges.

Presentation dinner: This will be at Sawtell Bowling club, adjacent to the caravan park and will commence at 6.00pm.

Sunday 28th May

Briefing and Ride:The briefing will be at 8.45am for a 9.00am departure to Ulong, via Hogbin Drive to High Street and onto Coramba Road to Coramba, then up the Eastern Dorrigo Way to the Ulong café for a BYO morning tea. The return is the reverse of the outward trip and will be followed by a free farewell B.B.Q. lunch at Sawtell Caravan Park.

Conditions of entry: The motorcycle listed above must be currently registered on full or historic vehicle registration or have an approved RMS permit, and be in safe working order. The rider must hold a current motorcycle riders licence. The entrant must ride in a safe manner and adhere to road traffic rules. The entrant must comply with directions of the marshals. We retain the right to refuse an entry.

In the event of a breakdown -The back-up cannot wait around while you make roadside repairs. Once the back-up vehicle reaches you, just have your bike transported to the next stop where you can attempt a repair if you wish. If you do decline to be transported you will be on your own.

In the event of an accident - stay together and wait for a marshal, then if unable to help, move on.

Indemnity - I agree to be bound by the rules, regulations and directions of the Coffs Harbour & District Motorcycle Restorers Club Inc. and enter and participate in the rally at my own risk, and to indemnify and keep indemnified and severally the Coffs Harbour & District Motorcycle Restorers Club Inc. and the organizing committee and sponsors from and against any and all liability for personal injury and or damage to property, whether arising out of, or in conjunction with my entering and participating in this rally

Other meals - There will not be organized breakfasts this year, but tea and coffee and biscuits/cake will be available each morning at the Sawtell Caravan Park.

The raffle - There will not be a sale of tickets. However there will be a number of prizes issued. Your entry number will be your ticket number so each entrant has a number of chances.

Extra badge - $6, - but will only be available if there are more badges than entrants.
