Water Production
Note to Users:This checklist may include terms specific to Operation Enduring Freedom and should be customized as needed. For example:
For specific percentages and numbers, the user should apply the appropriate numbers; such as 70%, 80%, 90%, 99%, etc.
For periodic terms, such as “weekly,” the user should apply the appropriate period, such as daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly, annually, etc.
Quality Assurance

- Verify that the contractor is performing QA/QC checks IAW the contractor’s quality plan and schedule for this service.
Water Production
- Verify that the contractor provides, operates, maintains, purifies and distributes potable and non-potable water IAW the appropriate regulations.
- Does the contractor ensure100% of the potable water produced, stored and distributed comply with standards listed in the appropriate regulations? (Verify)
- Does the contractor notify the ACO within 1 hour of discovering a violation? (Verify)
Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Units (ROWPU)
- Verify that the contractor provide, operate and maintain ROWPUs at water production locations or other water processing equipment as applicable.

- Does the contractor ensure all preventive maintenance inspections and repairs are accomplished on schedule at least 90% of the time? (Verify)
- Does the contractor compute the monthly water production percentage by production facility? (Verify documentation)
Storage
- Verify that the contractor stores three (3) days of supply (DOS) of potable water?
- Does the potable water meet or exceed the quality standards of the appropriate regulations? (Validate)
Testing
- Does the contractor test for chlorination of the water from various well points to ensure that water for personal hygiene meets the requirement of the appropriate regulation? (Verify)
Wells
- Verify that the contractor drills wells IAW the appropriate regulations.
