This visual story is to help you to prepare for your visit to see The Boy, The Piano and The Beach, which takes place at Brighthelm Centre
This is a picture of Brighthelm Centrewhich is on the corner between North road and Queens Road. The main entrance is down the side of the building
If you’re on foot, you can also approach the building through the gardens behind the building
This is the main entrance you will use to enter the building
When you go through the doors you will enter the reception area
Turning left, you need to walk through these double doors into the foyer area
The foyer area looks like this,
the auditorium is on the right
You will enter the auditorium through these doors
Once you are in the auditorium, you will take a seat facing the stage area and the show will begin
The show will last for 50 minutes. It is about a little boy who is playing on the beach when, all of a sudden, he is magically transported to another world. There he meets some curious and mystical creatures as he tries to find his way back home.
During the show you can make noise or move around if you would like to.
After the show is finished you will be offered a chance to stay and play with the cast and puppets if you would like to.
Here is a picture of the cast (the actors and puppeteers) and the puppets that are in the show. There is a big green puppet which is one of the creatures the boy meets on his adventure
This boy puppet is the main character in the show
There will be someone will be playing live music on the piano
There will be lots of dancing
