IMPORTANT NOTES ON THE SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS

All abstracts will be subject to review and if accepted for presentation will be included in the ICIS journal Cancer Imaging, www.cancerimaging.org. Authors will be notified after 30th June 2009.

Proffered presenters must register for ICIS 2009 by 10th July 2009 in order to ensure that their abstracts will be published in the Conference Issue of Cancer Imaging.

Abstracts which do not conform to the guidelines below will not be considered by the Panel of Referees. The presenting authors of all accepted abstracts are advised to register for the meeting as soon as possible. Authors will be notified as early as possible if they have been allocated a speaking session or a poster.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETING ABSTRACTS

Abstracts must be submitted using the on-line template at www.icimagingsociety.org.uk and emailed to . Provide your name, initials and your full postal address including postcode. Remember to include your department if correspondence is to be sent to an organisation address. Please remember to notify us if your correspondence address changes. Also provide an email address for contact purposes.

ABSTRACT FORMAT

The title of the abstract and the names of the authors should be clearly typed. The title should not exceed 15 words. Please use initials and surnames only. Qualifications should be omitted.

The abstract must not exceed 250 words and should take the form of a single concise paragraph, describing the aim, methods, results and conclusion where appropriate.

The abstract should not include references, tables or figures. It should be self-contained e.g. it should not contain sentences of the type “We will provide additional data during our presentation.”

Presenting authors must complete the authorisation statement to confirm that they have the permission of co-authors to submit the abstract.

ICIS 2009 reserve the right to copy-edit all abstracts to comply with house style.

SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS

Prior to submission, please check that your title, name, correspondence address and email address are entered correctly. Please also check that all author’s details are correct as these will appear with the abstract. If submitting more than one abstract, ensure consistency of personal details.

All abstracts must be submitted electronically.
