Every little bit Helps
If you have any ideas for art and craft ideas, books that you would like to share, we are always looking for parents to contribute to give us new ideas. It is important to us for you to have input your children’s learning. I understand that everyone is very busy, but every little bit helps!!
Please feel free to speak to a member of staff if you have any concerns, or if you just want an informal chat about your child. If there is anything that your child is particularly interested in please let us know so that we can include it in our lesson plan.
Nursery Bags
Please ensure that your child’s name is clearly marked on their bag. The nursery bag should contain plenty of spare clothes if your child is potty training (including socks). Children still in nappies/pull-ups must haveplenty of nappies and wipes and at least one change of clothes. We do have various activitves which can lead to a change being necessary. If your child uses a comforter or dummy at bed time, please make sure these are always in their bag.
Can you also provide hat and gloves for your child.
Can parents/carers please ensure that their child has a pair of slippers in the appropriate size and that they are clearly labelled with your child’s name.
Library Bus
The library bus comes every Wednesday and we catch it mostly when we can. The children love having a walk to go and see the bus where they can get some nice books to read at story times
Interacticve Learnnig Diary
Don’t forget go online and look at your child’s profile as it is updated regularly, please feel free to add your own observation as these are all interesting to read and allows staff to see whats happening in their home environments. If you have lost or forgotton your online details or password please contact us and we will reissue them. Just to say once the staff do an observations they then need to be approved, therefore the observations can be a week or two later than the actual date as there is a large number of children in the nursery to cover.
Childsmile
The Butterflies follows the Childsmile policies and procedures.
Infection Control and Medicine Polices
Just a reminder to all parents that at this time of year we do have a number of children with high temperatures and/or diarrhoea and we would ask you to keep your child off for 48 hours after the last incident of diarrhoea. If your child develops a high temperature during their session here, we will contact you. Calpol has to be signed in, and we will only give one dose of Calpol. If you have Calpol signed in we will call you to ask for your permission to give one dose of Calpol. If after an hour, your child’s temperature persists, we will contact you and ask you to come and pick up your child. If your child requires medicine during their time at nursery, you will need to sign a medication form. This is in line with our Infection Control and Medicine Policies.
Parking
Please may we ask that you don’t park in the bus bay outside the school as this makes it very difficult for the cars to enter and exit the Sunshine Carpark.
Garden
The Garden is due to get a makeover in the coming months but due to the wetness and the hardness of the ground its proving a bit impossible at the moment.
Invoices
Please do not adjust invoices. If you feel your invoice is incorrect, please e-mail to query.
Absence
If your child is unwell, please e-mail Linda at o inform of your child’s absence. We have to account for every child even while they are absence.
Thank you Laura, Lucy and Shelley.
