Seaholm Boys Basketball Holiday Camp (Grades 3 – 8)
Presented by the Seaholm Boys Basketball Boosters
Boys will learn the fundamentals of the game, improve their skills, and have fun in tournaments! Aspiring young players in grades 3 – 8 will receive first-hand instruction by Seaholm Boys Varsity, JV and Freshman coaches, and the Seaholm Varsity Players. The camp will feature instruction on fundamentals of the game; skills training – ball handling shooting, defense, passing, rebounding; tournaments and skill contests grouped by age and skill levels; t-shirts will be given to all participants and trophies will be awarded. Pizza lunch is included each day. Monday & Tuesday, December 21 & December 22; 9am – 2pm; Location:Seaholm Gym; Cost $130. Register at

TRANSITION TO KINDERGARTEN

This parent program is designed to help prepare parents for their child’s upcoming transition to kindergarten. Dr. Joan Firestone, Director of Early Childhood for Oakland Intermediate School District is a nationally recognized speaker on the topic of kindergarten readiness. Learn more about research on readiness and approaches to learning. Parents will receive a Resource Packet and hear about ideas to enhance learning at home, to foster skills for school success! SATURDAY SCHOOL
Saturday School is back again for the 2015-16 school year! Please consider joining us Saturdays for a day filled with learning opportunities! Saturday School takes place at Berkshire Middle School from 9:00-11:00 am and welcomes all BPS K-12 students. Therefore, if your child needs tutoring in any subject area, Saturday School is a great place to get any necessary help. In addition, if you are interested in donating your time as a tutor, please show up to Berkshire on Saturday and we will get you set up with a student who needs your assistance. MAPLE MOTION DANCE TEAM DANCE CLINIC
Join the fun with the Seaholm Maple Motion team on Thursday, January 14, 2016.The program is for kindergarten through 5th grade, the girls learn a dance routine and perform in the Seaholm gym between the JV and Varsity basketball games. BLACKTHORN TICKETS NOW ON SALE!
Give the gift of music this holiday season with tickets to Blackthorn! The highly-acclaimed and ever-popular Blackthorn will perform on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. in the Groves Little Theater. The group, featuring Belfast native and lead vocalist Richard McMullan, treats audiences to a rich blend of traditional and contemporary Irish music, as well as Blue Grass and American folk songs. McMullan, World Language Department Head and teacher at Groves High School, returns with his group to play at Groves for the 16th year. Student and Staff Accolades
Congratulations to three Groves Band musicians who were accepted into the MSBOA District 4 All-District Honors Band. Charlotte Beggs (bassoon), AnnaleseLohr (flute) and Allison Miller (trumpet) will all be performing at Clarkson Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, January 9 at 6:00pm under the direction of guest conductors, Dr. Steven Ward and Dr. Amy Knopps. Admission is free and all are welcome.

SNOWFLAKE SKATE
The Snowflake Skate will take place at the Detroit Skating Club on Saturday, December 19th from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Admission is $10. A silent auction to support Evolution Synchronized Skating Team will also take place. For more information please click here.
