The Vince Dooley Scholarship
2017 - 2018
The Vince Dooley Scholarship is funded and awarded by the Jacksonville Bulldog Alumni Scholarships, Inc. The award is a one-year, renewable scholarship in the amount of $3,000.00 to help defer educational costs for a period of one year's matriculation at the University of Georgia.
The Award shall be presented contingent to the following conditions:
1.The student is a legal resident of Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, or St. John's counties, Florida.
2.The student provides a completed application packet to the Jacksonville Bulldog Alumni Scholarships, Inc. by the specified deadline listed below.
3.The student is accepted for admission to the Universityof Georgia as a full-time, degree-seeking student.
4.The student attends the University of Georgia full-time as an entering freshman.
5.Finalists for the scholarship will be required to attend a selection interview conducted by the Jacksonville Bulldog Alumni Scholarships Inc. Scholarship Committee, (the current President, Past-Presidents and officers from the Georgia Bulldog – Alumni Club of Jacksonville.)
6.Announcement of the recipient shall be made by April 30th or earlier.
The scholarship packet is complete when it includes:
1.Completed application with student's current GPA (including second grading period of grade 12).
2. Transcripts for grades 9, 10, 11, and12 (including the first grading period of grade 12).
