Your attendance today at home visits AND Open House takes the place of the August 8th G-day.

We will have light lunch in LCMS Kitchen around 11 for staff, and food will be left out all day as many will come and go; supper at 4 for staff those outside school staff manning tables.

Get one copy of GENERAL forms for each home that you’ll visit. Give to parents and Remind them to complete and bring to Open House tonight.

Get one copy of “Sorry I Missed You (SIMU)” note for each home that you’ll visit. If folks not home, leave GENERAL forms and “SIMU” form.

Tuesday, Aug. 5 for OPEN HOUSE from 5-8 PM

Parents need to attend for the entire time; teachers attend from 5-8

On Tuesday, August 5, 2014,
Teachers may visit your home briefly between the times of 9 AM - 4 PM.
Families are invited to LCMS to get a student schedule, locker, paperwork, meet teachers, etc. at 5 PM.
Doors open at 4:30 PM.
Parent need to bring a pen, $30 school fee, and all the information they'll need to complete the usual forms.
At 5:00 PM, a key note address will be given and all attendees are requested to be seated in the bleachers on the visitor's side of the gym.

At 5:30, 8th grade parents will visit ALL the booths in the gym. Then at 6:30, they will walk the student schedule if desired. If they didn't finish visiting all the booths from 5:30-6:30, they will return to gym after the schedule walk is completed and finish visiting booths.

At 5:30, 7th grade parents will walk the students schedule and spend 5 minutes in each class to get acquainted with course syllabus, teacher, teacher expectations, etc. At the end of the schedule walk, parents will return to gym and visit ALL booths. Parents who have individual concerns may express those to teachers after the booths are visited.

At 6:30, 8th grade parents will walk the students schedule and spend 5 minutes in each class to get acquainted with course syllabus, teacher, teacher expectations, etc. Parents who have individual concerns may express those to teachers after the schedule walk is completed.

To be eligible for Christmas for Kids’ assistance, applicants must complete 4 hours of approved sessions. The LCMS Open House on Aug. 5, 2014, has been approved for 1 hour of Christmas For Kids credit.

4:30-5:00 PM in the LCMS GYM:

Parents visit @ 17 booths to get lockers, schedules, paperwork, bus info, cafe info, O-Zone info, IC info, Counselor info, PTSO info, Title I info, FRYSC info, Nurse info, SE/504/GT/ELL info, PAY $30 school FEES, etc. and have time to fill out paperwork. Please enter through the Cardinal Room or main entrance (left door will be unlocked). All booths need to be visited, but can be approached in any order. We recommend going to the one with the fewest number of people waiting. :) Please bring a pen, $30 school fee, and all the information you'll need to complete the usual forms.

5-8 PM: TEACHERS NEED TO BE IN ROOMS READY TO GREET with syllabus. Go over class expectations. If you had a child in your class, what would you want to know as a parent? Be sure to tell them that. You’ll have five minutes each period. J IF I HAVE YOU ON ASSIGNMENT AND/ OR YOU WILL NOT BE IN YOUR ROOM, PLEASE LEAVE A NOTE TELLING PARENTS THAT AND HAVE A PLACE FOR THEM TO REQUEST IF THEY NEED TO MEET WITH YOU, etc.

*Paperwork from registration packet may be collected, but we don’t need until they have completed and they may send it in the first day of school. You will collect, alphabetize and keep in piles similar paperwork for your HOMEROOM CLASS during the first week of school. TURN IN TO ANGIE at end of EACH DAY.

Families will follow the student's schedule to meet teachers, receive syllabus of class expectations, etc. It is important to attend each class expectations are different for each class. If your child has two classes 6th period, please go to the class called enrichment or intervention.

Pages 23-24 of the Student Agenda signed by student in TWO places, parent in TWO places, and the HR TEACHER SIGNS every student’s paper in first period in one place. Alphabetize and turn in to Huddleston. She has to sign them all. This is different from what is in Up Front Expectation Lesson Plans. Please follow this protocol.
