ECMHC Spooktacular 2008
The 2008 Spooktacular Fun Show will run basically by AMHR/AMHA Rules.
1. One can show any miniature horse 38” and under.
2. Proof of a negative Coggins test within 12 months is required.
3. The Entry fee is $10 per Horse/ exhibitor combination. (You’ll need a separate number for each combination) The unlimited fee is $10 for as many classes as you wish per horse/exhibitor combination.
4. No youth 12 years and under may show stallions with the exception of weanling and yearling colts.
5. If you and your horse place 1st or 2nd in any of the qualifying classes you are eligible to show in the Grand and Reserve Class. You do not have to pay another entry fee. If more than one handler qualifies the horse only one will be able to exhibit in the Grand and Reserve class.
A. Grand and Reserve Champion Mare class # 11 will include classes; 5,6,9 and 10. That’s all the halter mare classes.
B. Grand and Reserve Champion Gelding class #16 will include classes; 7,8,14 and 15. That’s all halter gelding classes.
C. Grand and Reserve Champion Stallion class #21 will include classes; 19and 20. That’s all halter stallion classes.
6. In order to participate in any performance class a horse must be at least 3 years of age.
7. The Versatility class is open to adults as well as youth. It will consist of Driving, Halter and Hunter in that order. The judge will explain how he/she wants the Halter and Hunter portions of the class completed.
8. We will have planned breaks after class #21 and class #33 tentatively. Please listen to the announcer for possible changes in this part of the plan.
9. The Show Committee reserves the right to combine or delete classes if necessary.
10. We will allow cross entering in the Country Pleasure and Single Pleasure driving classes; however the classes will be judged according to the individual rules for each specific class.
11. Headers are optional in adult driving classes but mandatory in the Youth driving classes.
12. The Jumper classes will be done both according to height as well as time. (2 separate classes)
13.The high point awards that are a one horse one exhibitor combination are as follows: High Point Youth 7 & under; High Point Youth 8-12; High Point Youth 13-18; and High Point Adult. Then there is a High Point Horse Award. We will have a Sportsmanship Award to be given at the judges’ discretion.
14. As a point of clarification, the judge will explain how the Showmanship classes will be judged before each class.
15. Feel free to have FUN…. And ask as many questions as you’d like….!!!!
