Lobo Academic UIL team closes in on 11-5A crown
The Longview High School Academic UIL team is looking to advance to the regional competition with just one district event remaining on the 2012 11-5A slate. Going into the final round of competition, which is One-Act Play on April 3, the team is 100 points ahead of Mesquite Horn, and has more than double the point totals of all other 11-5A schools. Four Lobo academic teams at the March 23 district meet in DeSoto brought home top honors in their category, while 10 students won individual first place awards. The regional competition is set for April 19-21 at Baylor University.
