NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Inter-Club Council met, commencing at 9:05 A.M. on Monday October 8, 2012 in Room 1016-B-MVC, and Room 1111-SJC. The starting time listed for the meeting is approximate. Public testimony will be invited in conjunction with discussion on each item.

II.  ICC Club Reports & Information

A.  ICC President

i.  Kesia Crawford reported that KFC will donate 15% to SGA for one day they will have to mention MSJC SGA Date will TBA

B.  ICC Club Reps

i.  Phi Theta Kappa – PTK – Shayla reported they are going to give a fund raiser at El Torito Restaurant it is still [TBD]

ii.  SWANS – reported they are going to still sell T-Shirts until December. Project Touch says thanks for the eye drops and personal hygiene items. 2nd Saturday of the month they are also helping Hope in Lake Elsinore

iii.  Global Brigades – we have moved membership and club charter over to the next agenda (October 22, 2012)

iv.  S.T.E.M MVC – has their Charter; they are continuing the Smart card sale (fundraiser) the Venders are mostly in Temecula. S.T.E.M. is having S.T.E.M. Day on the MVC on Oct. 16th in room 106 in the counseling center.

v.  S.T.E.M. SJC – They would also like to participate in the Smart Card fundraiser. A reminder about the Applebee’s Fundraiser Sat. Oct. 13th Wednesday will be the last day for to get tickets but you may purchase tickets at the door. The times are from 8 to 10 am.

vi.  Mu Alpha Theta – Offering Tutoring the times for this semester is from 12:30 – 4:00 pm at Menifee Campus room 1013; they are still tutoring at Santa Rosa Middle School also.

vii.  Ceramics SJC – Joe Posadas is giving an Artery Show Mon 29th

viii. Amnesty International – Revised Charter

ix.  Chess Club – Has been moved to Agenda Oct. 22nd. They had Charter but no membership form.

x.  Students Economic Association – Would like to create a Banner; they must check with print Shop here at MSJC first.

xi.  Rotaract – they are hosting a book drive for small children donation at the child development center; they are looking for volunteers for the senior centers and animal shelters. They reported they are donating shoes for Sudan this will be in the Eagles Eye newspaper. The Red Thread project will knit Scarves, then they will donate them.

xii.  ISU – reported 13 students came to watched and discussed music videos. The VP made pretty posters; we have a lot of interest in the club.

xiii. Anthropology – Monday Professor Ozolins from CSUSB will be speaking and lecture in room 416. They will have forms by tomorrow for the field trip.

C.  ICC Advisor Reports

i.  Nathan Brais – reported that he would like everyone participate in the BBQ’s; and if you need tables and chairs will be provided them for you. And Dr. Schultz will be doing a brown paper bag event.

D.  SGA Support Specialist Reports

i.  Sandi Uhrig – Has Paper for Banner’s in the SGA office’s

III.  Public Comment

This time is reserved for members of the public to address the Inter-Club Council on issues not already appearing on the agenda. A limit of 5 minutes per speaker and 20 minutes per topic shall be enforced.

Myrna has been getting the word out about Prop 30.

Michael explains a PowerPoint that that he is putting together so that students of SGA and ICC clubs can discuss this with other students. If prop 30 does not pass there will be 1500 less students plus 7.4% reduction. Freshmen will have priority registration over everyone else. I am trying to have voter registration tables all day on both campuses.

C.  Anthropology Club Events and Expenditures:

i.  Lecture Series: 9/17/12 (1st Lecture) at 5:00 p.m.

ii.  Volunteering /Field Trip for Archaeology Day at Western Science Center (Hemet) – Oct. 20th

D.  Rotoract Club Events and Expenditures:

i.  Volunteering at the Menifee Mayor’s Ball September 28th – 30th (This item is retroactive)

ii.  Volunteering at the Menifee Motor Madness from 8 am to 3pm

E.  Mu Alpha Theta Events and Expenditures:

i.  Tutoring in Room 1013 MVC, Start date is October 1 to December 14, 2012 12:30

ii.  Santa Rosa Middle School Mon and Wed from 3pm to 4pm start

F.  Upward Bound Events and Expenditures:

i.  SGA Stickers “Not to exceed $35.00” SGA stickers cost $7.00 per person

G.  PTK Events and Expenditure:

i.  El Torito fund raiser to raise funding for Honors in Action Project; Fundraiser date TBA

ii.  Open PO MSJC Charge backs-Printing for Fall 2012, “Not to exceed $800”

iii.  Open PO for MSJC Charge backs for postage for Fall 2012, “Not to exceed $600”
