Tier I

The school’s MTSS leadership team reviews the most recent Tier I data at the end of each nine-week grading period. The primary objective of this review is to monitor the progress of all students toward eventual high school graduation with their cohort.

This review shall include:

  • Attendance data
  • Discipline data
  • Academics
  • Pass/Fail Reports submitted quarterly by core instructors
  • The SMART Students At Risk Report

Based upon patterns and trends in this data, the team uses the Problem Solving Process to make recommendations to the school administration regarding Tier I instructional adjustments.

Core teachers with less than 80% passing rates at each quarter will be provided support.

Tier II

At the conclusion of each school year all students are given grade-level assessments in core academics to determine proficiency.

Students not meeting proficiency are provided Tier II interventions the following year.

All students meeting the following criteria are placed into classes taught by teachers trained to remediate the identified deficiency. These areTier II interventions.
