1995 – presentOngoing research concurrent with developing a community mental health initiative in school communities – trademarked “Family Builders”
1997-1999Served on the Institutional Review Board at SpaldingUniversity
1998Coordinated a study that measured and compared level of resiliency traits and protective factors called “developmental assets” throughout local community
2000 & 2003Directed a study in collaboration with the University of Louisville College of Education in measuring and comparing levels of bullying among young people

1995 – presentAdminister the Title IV federal Safe and Drug-FreeSchools and Communities grant (~$130,000 annually for 25,000 students)
1998 – 2003Applied for and received a $300,000 4-year grant through the Jefferson County Health Department for funding the implementation of Life Skills Training, which is a tobacco prevention curriculum, in middle schools
1999 – presentApplied for and received a $200,000 grant through the St. Jude Foundation for funding the implementation of PeaceBuilders, an anti-violence program and Creating Lasting Family Connections, a alcohol & drug prevention curriculum for 55 schools
2004Applied for and received a $20,000 grant through the Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice for funding the implementation of Good Touch – Bad Touch, which is a personal safety program
