Re: ITS Voice Switching System Support

In an effort to streamline processes to better serve you, Information and Technology Services (ITS) has developed a two tiered approach to Voice Switching System Support. For Voice Switching Systems that have been designed and installed or have been certified by ITS and subscribe to Avaya for system maintenance, the Limited Support Coverage Plan and Full Support Coverage Plan are available for your selection. (Please see the following web site for full details of the coverage plans: http://www.tns.its.psu.edu/policies/vsMain.htm.) The Limited Support option will be available at a rate of $168.00/month plus appropriate vendor coverage fees for each system covered. The Full Support option will be available at a rate of $335.00/month plus appropriate vendor coverage fees for each voice system covered.

By subscribing to the ITS Voice System Support, you will be able to take advantage of a staff of trained PBX support personnel who will be able to assist you in your Voice Switching endeavors. ITS will provide such things as North American Numbering Plan (NANP) updates, time change updates, coordination of repair resolutions involving multiple vendors, coordination of the maintenance of patches\upgrades and software revisions, trouble shooting on trunking issues, etc….

According to our records your current Voice System is a Definity G3siV5+m at software release G3v6i.03.2.239.3. Your voice mail system is a V386 Rel 4.2 version 1.1.2.

To subscribe to the ITS Voice System Support you will not be required to upgrade your current systems at this time. You will, however, be required to maintain your system at or above the minimum levels for support. See http://www.tns.its.psu.edu/policies/vsMes.htm.

To subscribe to the ITS Voice Switching System Support, you must submit a signed Telecommunications Service Requisition form (TSR) to the Client Services Support Group at 105 University Support Building 2 by December 31, 2003. If you have any questions concerning these plans, please contact Terry Corl at 814-863-1884 or Mike Leach at 814-. Thank you.
