How to use this table and the change the Jumper settings for different CT (primary) ratios:
There is a cut out in the bottom side of the meter and shorting pins are visible, (for changing the jumpers according to different CT ratios (primary)). Remove the cut warranty sticker and the pin positions are shown in above pic 1. Use the above table 1 for changing the CT standard ratios. Place the jumpers as shown in above table and after changing the Jumpers, change the following
· CT ratio ,
· Full Scale in terminal block sticker (in rear side)
· MF decimal point in front side of the meter according to Full Scale and calculations given below.
Calculations:
· CT Ratio (Primary Amps): Primary current of CT and Secondary current of CT can be 1A or 5A.
· MF : Multiplication Factor
· FS : Full Scale : Calculated based on PT primary and CT primary
o Which is 1.732 * PT Primary * CT Primary * PF which is 1(unity)
o Eg PT Primary is 415V, CT Primary is 200 Amps
o Then FS is (1.732*415*200*1)/1000 = 143.75 kWh.
· Counter Readings / Decimal Position: To place decimal Point according to FS as given in cells for each CT ratio.
· Pulses per count Updation (intg): No. of times integration LED blinks for one count Updation.
Decimal Placement for different Full Scales:
(FS) Full Scale in kWh / MF / Counter Updation means0-4.0 / 0.01 / Every Count Updation (last digit ie 6th Digit) is equal 1/100 of a unit or 0.01 units.
4.01 to 40 / 0.1 / Every Count Updation (last digit ie 6th Digit) is equal 1/10 of a unit or 0.1 units.
40.1 to 400 / 1 / Every Count Updation (last digit ie 6th Digit) is equal to 1unit
400.1 to 4000 / 10 / Every Count Updation (last digit ie 6th Digit) is equal to 10 units
4000.1 to 40000 / 100 / Every Count Updation (last digit ie 6th Digit) is equal to 100 units
40000.1 to 40000 / 1000 / Every Count Updation (last digit ie 6th Digit) is equal to 1000 units
The meter is having 6 moving counters / digits and 3 static or fixed zeros. For Eg.in meter is 123456 000, Ref Pic 2.
In the above 123456 are the 6 moving counters / digits and 3 static “0”
In the above
1is 1st Digit,
2 is 2nd Digit,
3 is 3rd Digit,
4 is 4th Digit,
5 is 5th Digit
6 is 6th Digit and
First “0” after “6” (6th Digit) is the 7th Digit,
Second “0” is 8th Digit
Third “0” is 9th Digit.
