Booking your holiday

Please check the availability of your chosen dates by telephone or email before completing your booking form and posting it to us. Your reserved holiday dates will then be held for 4 days pending receipt of your booking form and deposit. We will confirm by email or telephone on receipt of your booking form.

Deposit and balance

A deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking, with the balance of your holiday payable 8 weeks before your arrival. For holiday bookings within 8 weeks of your arrival, payment is due in full at time of booking.

We are only able to take credit card payments by phone. We do not charge for deposits paid by card, but there is a 2% charge made on balance payments by card. Please make cheques payable toHigher Lank Farm Holidays. If paying by bank transfer, please use sort code 09-06-66, Account No. 41519751.

Nursery Rhyme Barns Self Catering Terms and Conditions

A deposit of 25% should be paid at the time of sending your booking form, with your balance payable 8 weeks before your arrival date.

We reserve the right to refuse any reservation at our discretion.

Your cottage will be available from 4pm on your arrival date and we ask you to vacate your accommodation by 10am on your departure date. We ask that you observe these times so that we are able to ensure that your accommodation is cleaned to the highest standards.

We reserve the right to charge for damage caused by guests, and their families.

We hereby formally disclaim any liability for any losses or injury sustained by guests or their property.

Any charges for your holiday or additional goods or services not prepaid (with the exception of babysitting) are payable on arrival.

We reserve the right to enter your accommodation, for daily cleaning and maintenance, and when necessary.

You are advised to take out holiday cancellation insurance. If you should have to cancel your holiday more than 12 weeks before it is due to start, you will not be liable for the balance. If your holiday is rebooked then your deposit will be refunded, less a cancellation fee of £100. If you should cancel your holiday within 12 weeks of your arrival date you will be liable to pay the full balance unless the holiday is relet, in which case all monies paid will be refunded, less a £100 cancellation fee.

All cancellations must be made in writing to Higher Lank Farm.

We reserve the right to cancel a reservation at any time, in which case you will be entitled to a full refund of any monies paid. Should your accommodation become uninhabitable during your stay, through no fault of yours, and we have no alternative available, you will be entitled to a refund of all monies paid on a pro rata basis, to the amount of your holiday that was affected.

You are responsible for the property you are renting for the duration of your stay, and are expected to take reasonable care of it. All equipment, utensils etc should be left clean, and the property be clean and tidy at the end of your stay.

If chambermaiding Is separately booked and paid for, the cleaning of bathrooms, making of beds and vacuuming of the cottage will be done each paid for weekday morning by a member of staff. The tidying of guests’ belongings, the washing up and cleaning of kitchen surfaces is not included in this service and is the responsibility of guests.
