CHRISTIAN FORMATION/YOUTH GROUP/RCIA

YOUTH GROUP: Battle of the Youth registration hard deadline is Monday, Sept. 26!!!!

Youth Group meets Sept. 25 from 6-7pm, beginning in church with installation of youth council.We will meet afterwards in the hall; there will be food! Yum!

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is available for anyone interested in joining the Catholic Church; please call the office for details. We meet when it is most convenient for you!

PARENT MEETINGS: Monday, Sept. 26 for parents of second graders concerning 1st Reconciliation at 7:00pm in the Parish Center; Wednesday, September 28 at 5:30pm in the parish center for parents of juniors explaining the Theology of the Body curriculum. All parents of juniors are highly encouraged to attend; October 3 at 6:30pm at the parish center for all parents of Confirmandi to plan their retreat.

WIN A PEW FOR Christmas Eve Mass! In order to raise funds for our West Ohio Food Distribution event on Oct. 8, one of our small groups of Confirmation students is raffling off one pew for the Christmas Eve Mass at 4pm at St. Nicholas, which includes two parking spaces in front of the Parish Center. Tickets are $5.00 each. Tickets are available in the Parish Office until Oct. 1. The winning ticket will be drawn on Oct. 23.

CLC FALL RETREAT is Oct. 10 at Glandorf, St. John. The evening will begin with Mass at 6pm followed by a meal. Father Tony will be the speaker. Cost is $5. Call Pat, 419-235-1991 by Oct. 3 if attending.

THE CLC is putting together a cookbook. In the back of New Cleveland church is a basket with recipe forms in it. If you wish to contribute please pick up as many forms as you wish and then return them to the basket when filled out. Please return all recipe forms by October 23. Information on how to order a completed cookbook will be in the bulletin as soon as we have the details.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS: The annual youth group Blood Drive is October 25 from noon until 6pm. More info will follow soon! We will be serving several varieties of homemade soup, pie and ice cream for those coming to donate.

DOMUS ANGELORUM RETREAT HOUSE

Latin Mass will be celebrated this First Friday October 7 7pm at DomusAngelorum Retreat House, Cloverdale. All are welcome.

This Month’s Retreat on the topic ‘The Means of Grace’ will be held onSaturdayOctober 8. The day beginswithMass at 8:30am with registration and Adoration following Mass. CATHOLIC DIVORCE MINISTRY. A 12-week divorce & separated support group, Catholic Divorce Recovery, will be hosted by SPPS, Ottawa. The Catholic Divorce Recovery program was created to help divorced or separated Catholic by offering support and healing through the wisdom and truth of the Catholic faith. Meetings will be held in the SPPS library on Tuesdays 7pm beginning Sept 27. A registration fee of $20 includes the cost of a workbook, materials, and refreshments. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for Helping Hands of St. Louis’ Annual Coat Giveaway. Volunteers are the lifeblood of our Catholic Charities Diocese of Toledo ministries! We need a few more volunteers to set up our Annual Coat Giveaway at Helping Hands of Toledo from 11:45am-2pm. on Thursday. Sept. 29. Another dozen or so volunteers are needed to help guests try on coats at the Annual Coat Giveaway from 9am- 1:30pm on Saturday, Oct. 1.Please sign up at catholiccharities.org/get-involved. 40 DAYS FOR LIFE CAMPAIGN Begins Sept 28. Catholic Charities is hosting the ecumenical 40 Days for Life campaign in northwest Ohio from Sept 28 through Nov 6.
