Physical Science: DIRECTIONS FOR Google Classroom Log in/Set Up
Rube Goldberg Project
- Use Google Chrome (not Explorer or FireFox)
- Log in to your Google acct using your school ID. For example (cds = city school district).
- If you have not logged in before, your PW is Passw0rd! (capital P, zero, with exclamation pt). Make a new PW. Please put it in your phone, agenda and or share with me for safe keeping (if you like). THIS CANNOT BE RETRIEVED LATER!!
- Go to the ‘waffle’ symbol (9 square in top right corner). Select Google Drive.
- For some reason, this log in may need occur twice. Log out and repeat if you cannot do #6.
- After a second time, once you select the waffle, click MORE option at bottom. Google Classroom should now be visible. Select it.
- In top right corner next to your user name, select the “+” to add a class.
- Your class code for physical science is ______
- Select the ABOUT tab. Have ONE person in each group select the Rube Goldberg 6 STEP chart. It is in w Word Doc format. Save it as a Google Doc instead.
- Once it pops up, that ONE person will select the blue SHARE button in the top right corner. Begin typing in the names of the other students in your group. Their accounts will automatically begin to pop up. Select the appropriate names. Allow for “Can Edit” so all of you can work on it simultaneously.
- Your Google doc will now be found in the DRIVE acct. Your peers who were invited to share will find it under ‘Shared with me’.
- You can now access this from any computer! Begin working on your steps. Have handy your example from class, your green resource sheet and your photo you took with your phone.
