TIMOTHY (TIM) NORGART

Tim Norgart is vice president of Business Development for Boeing Military Aircraft (BMA), where he leads a team that is responsible for the development, integration and implementation of BMA customer and business strategies for a diverse set of programs and capabilities including the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, the F-15 Strike Eagle, the C-17 Globemaster III, the KC-46 Tanker, the P-8A Poseidon, the AH-64 Apache and H-47 Chinook, and weapons and unmanned systems. He was named to this position in February 2013.

Previously, Norgart wasvice president of Business Development for the Global Services & Support (GS&S) business. At GS&S, Norgart led a team dedicated to providing affordable, innovative services and solutions for Boeing customers across its three divisions: Integrated Logistics; Maintenance, Modifications and Upgrades; and Training Systems and Government Services.

Prior to that assignment, Norgart was director of Business Development for theAirborne Battle Management division of Boeing Military Aircraft. He was responsible for a variety of programs, including the P-8A Poseidon, 737 Airborne Early Warning & Control, and Airborne Warning Systems. During this time, Norgart led a team that was awarded a contract by the Indian Navy for eight P-8I long-range maritime reconnaissance and anti-submarine warfare aircraft.

Previously, Norgart was the director of Business Development for the P-8A, helping lead the team effort to win the Multi-mission Maritime Aircraft competition. He joined the company in January 2001 after 25 distinguished years of service with the U.S. Navy.

Norgart joined the Navy in 1975 and was designated a Naval Flight Officer (NFO). During his first squadron tour, he qualified as Patrol Plane Tactical Coordinator (TACCO), Mission Commander and Instructor TACCO in the P-3C aircraft. His other early Navy assignments included NFO instructor in the Maritime Patrol Fleet Replacement Squadron, an Officer of the Deck on board the USS Forrestal, a Placement Officer assigned at the Naval Military Personnel Commandand as the Operations Officer, Patrol Squadron 48 at NAS Moffet Field.

Norgart reported to Patrol Squadron 40 as Executive Officer and subsequently assumed command of the “Fighting Marlins” of VP-40, which included a deployment in support of Operation Desert Storm. He returned to the Bureau of Naval Personnel, where he served as both the Deputy Director and the Director of the Aviation Distribution Division. From there, he was assigned as the Chief, Personnel Services Division, Directorate for Manpower and Personnel, the Joint Staff. In his final Navy assignment, Norgart assumed command of Patrol and Reconnaissance Wing 10 at Whidbey Island;the four Wing 10 Squadrons and their personnel were deployed throughout the world, including participation in combat operations in Kosovo. He also was responsible for transitioning his squadrons to the Anti-Surface Warfare Improvement Program (AIP) upgrade to the P-3C and the Sensor Station Improvement Program (SSIP) upgrade to the EP-3.

A highly decorated veteran, Norgart retired from the Navy on August 1, 2000. His serviceawards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit (twice), Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, and the Meritorious Unit Commendation.

Norgart holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from SeattleUniversity.
