Summary: Improved control systems for 1000 Volt AC Continuous Miners through the use of Variable Frequency Drives by controlling motor speeds which lead to significantly increased production, reduced down time, and assists in meeting the latest NIOSH and MSHA requirements for noise reduction, dust particulate and proximity detection.
