NYSFAAA Region III
November 2, 2012

LeMoyne College

Welcome: John View started the meeting at 10:11 on behalf of the region. He reminded everyone on September 2011 he handed out shopping sheet and said it should be on our radar. He welcomed interaction and conversation about this topic.

Shopping Sheet/Award Letter: Carlos Adrian from Syracuse University went over the time line, design and implementation of the shopping sheet.

-  COA

-  Grants and scholarships

-  Student loans

-  Net cost

All students receiving financial aid will receive a shopping sheet and will have varying templates on campus vs. of campus. John View went over the SUNY model which is different than the Dept. of Educations. John also went over the SUNY task force regarding the shopping sheet and believes we should have flexibility. SUNY would like to use the shopping sheet as an award letter.

Business Meeting: Kathy Flaherty started the business meeting at 11:16. She welcomed and thanked Kelly from LeMoyne for arranging us to meet. We had new faces so we went around the room and did introductions. Kathy passed out a NYSFAAA organizational chart for 2012-2013. Scott Atkinson has looked a t each function of each office and some were merged.

Executive Council: Most of the updates were given at the October 2012 conference.
