Statement of Purpose

To manage student assessment and performance data for the school and to produce and manage the school timetable.

Line Management

• Line management responsibility for at least one full time member of staff.

Support for Data Management

·  Ensure the integrity of all academic data held in school.

·  Obtain and maintain accurate academic student information, including records of prior achievement at KS2.

·  Develop and maintain data protocols.

·  Design and maintain school systems to record student progress at KS2 – 4 and in the Sixth Form, using SIMS Assessment Manager.

·  Calendar a schedule of Data and Reporting events to synchronise with the main school calendar.

·  Manage student reporting and progress tracking systems, ensuring that all assessments are completed in a timely manner.

·  Produce reports in a timely manner to meet internal and externally-set deadlines.

·  Make data available, at the appropriate time, to stakeholders, e.g. parents, students, teachers, governors, LEA, DfE, and other external agencies.

·  Analyse data, including external examination performance, for presentation to the Leadership Group, Governors and other stakeholders, as required.

·  Use FFT Aspire to inform target setting and the evaluation of student and school performance.

·  Maintain and support SISRA Analytics software to analyse student performance and progress.

·  Support the Sixth Form team by establishing data collection systems to identify students’ potential for Sixth Form study and to allow for the compilation of UCAS references.

Use Limacon software to assist the Transition Co-ordinator in the allocation of incoming y7 students to tutor groups.

Develop bespoke data collection and recording systems for Heads of Department, Heads of House and the Leadership group, as requested.

·  Ensure areas of responsibility comply with the following legislative requirements:

o Data protection.

o Freedom of information.

o Licensing requirements.

Support for Curriculum Management

• Manage student option choices using SIMS Options

• Determine the number of classes required to accommodate pupil options.

• Liaise with the Senior Leadership Team to produce the curriculum model for timetabling and amend as required.

• Liaise with the Senior Leadership Team to produce the teacher plan to deliver the curriculum model using SIMS Nova-T6

• Liaise with Departmental Heads to coordinate the resourcing of classes with teachers and rooms.

• Ensure scheduled timetable satisfies the curriculum model.

• Ensure all staff receive the appropriate preparation and management time.

• Manage the ongoing maintenance of timetable carousels, staff and room change

• Assign correct course level codes as defined by the National Qualifications Framework to timetabled subjects.

• Coordinate the streaming and setting of all year groups.

• Control the membership of pupils to correct academic courses.

• Manage any course membership updates.

• Manage the start of year and end of year procedures
