Important News
I hope that everyone has had a wonderful first month of Irish dance! It is so nice seeing all the new faces to dancing but also so many returning faces as well. Please be sure to check our website- as well as our Facebook page on a regular basis. Those to places are where the majority of information will be posted along with emails sent out.
Just a couple of items to be discussed for dance class. The first is that there is a beginner class next week October 24th but no other classes that night! If you show up no one will be here to teach lessons. Second is that there is no class on October 31st- enjoy trick or treating! There will also be no classes November 21st due to the Thanksgiving Holiday! Just some dates to keep in mind!
For classes as the weather is turning colder it is fine for dancers to have leggings or tights on under shorts but dancers’ knees should be seen while in class. It is very important aspect of dancing so please keep that in mind. Also, please use the bathroom before class and we only have 45 minutes and I am by myself and cannot take dancers to the bathroom.
I also encourage parents and/or dancers to videotape with cell phones what dancers should be practicing at home. You will start getting emails about what should be practiced at home starting tonight as I finally have everyone’s email addresses in and working. I will try to send video’s via text messages to parents that is very time consuming and at times you won’t receive it until Thursday or Friday.
Lastly, if you have questions or concerns please email me at as classes are back to back and it is hard to stop class to talk to a parent.
Thanks- Katie Duggan
