MASK FIT TESTING IS GOOD FOR TWO YEARS

Important Information Regarding Mask FIT Testing.

In light of the outbreak of SARS in 2004, respirator use and proper fit is important for all health care providers. As such, students are required to be mask FIT tested every two years.

The St. Clair College School of Nursing will be offering Mask Fit Testing at a cost of $25.00 (EXACT amount please as change is not always readily available).

Each student will be given a card with the N95 mask number and testing date.

FIT testing takes approximately 15 minutes per student. Six students will be tested at a time.

See attached schedule for exact dates, times, place and email Margaret Rice with your 2 preferred dates and times.

Instructions:

1)  Do not eat, drink or chew anything (except water), including gum or candy 15 minutes prior to the FIT testing.

2)  Do not smoke 15 minutes prior to the FIT test.

3)  Gentlemen must be clean shaved.

4)  Be prepared to complete a medical review by the tester.

5)  You must arrive 15 min. before your scheduled time.
