A.  Board Member Projects – Patty and James

a.  drug take back day in October – 10/26 same day as CSHP at CSHP headquarters – Tammy and Justin will volunteer 10-2pm.

b.  CPSC offers $900 routine drug take back boxes for non-controls- grant available to fund the box for 3 years– potential relationship that James and Pierre are pursuing

i.  Pierre will arrange presentation

ii.  James will write a grant proposal due 10/15

c.  Folsom county can also take back sharps containers if a drug take back was done in that area

E.  Members Comments- Shane – Health Fair – Update from the college for newsletter and website, will include updates from all pharmacy schools with student representatives in the area.

F.  Pierre – Covered California – 12 days will start Health Exchange for purchasing of insurance under affordable care act. CSHP awarded educational grant of ~500K$ to train and explain Covered California.
