Division of Urology, NIMS has an average OPD of 500 cases/ week and has Operated 2000 various surgical cases in last year.

Current position

Working as fulltime consultant and Head of Division of urology.

Daily activities include opd work, ward rounds, conducting major surgeries and all necessary paper work.

Routine surgeries include complete stone work like, pcnl, ursl, pccl and eswl. Reconstructive urology like lap pyepoplasty,

urethroplasty both Anastomotic and augmentation.

Pediatric urology include complex hypospadias repairs, ureteric reimplants, orchidopexy and puv fulguration.

Complete uro oncology range incuding lap radical nephrectomy, Nephro ureterctomy, Radical cystectomy and Orthotopic bladder reconstruction, Radical prostatectomy.

Monthly has an opd of 600-650 pts/month.

Number of minor and major procedures would be 80- 120/ month

Research activity:

Is involved in clinical trials of evaluating centrally acting drug in erectile dysfunction as second investigator.

Study coordinator for analysis of various factors and regional influences in development of renal calculi.

WORKED as consultant urologist in Manipal Super specialties hospital. Holding the division of urology for 2 years started the department and now doing more than 100 procedures/ month.

First to start full fledged laparoscopy division in coastal andhrapradesh.

First laparoscopic partial nephrectomy in coastal andhrapradesh.

Trained urologists in advanced procedures like pcnl and laser prostatectomies.

Division of urology does advanced procedures like laparoscopic reconstructive procedures.

CURRENTLY STARTED RAINBOW SUPERSPECIALITY HOSPITAL WHICH IS DEDICATED URONEPHRO CENTER WITH ALL FACILITIES FOR CONDUCTING UROLOGICAL AND NEPHROLOGICAL PROCEDURES INCLUDING ADVANCED LAPAROSCOPY,LASER PROCEDURES.
