> Attached <Writers application (Intl) 2010-2011.doc> is a Program Overview and Application for the Council for Economic Education (formerly the National Council on Economic Education) 2010-2011 CEE Training of Writers program. The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Education through the Cooperative Education Exchange Program and is carried out in coordination with the U.S. Department of State.

> Pending approval of U.S. Department of Education funding, the workshop component of the program is scheduled to take place in Washington, D.C., July 31 - August 8, 2010. Participants will be expected to engage in intensive writing activities during and after the workshop and will be required to field-test the lesson they develop in local classrooms. The program requires a commitment to complete lesson writing assignments and field testing between August 2010 and April 2011.

> We are seeking outstanding economic educators who have the commitment and support to develop high-quality economic education instructional materials after completing this program. Preference will be given to qualified applicants who have completed the Training of Trainers program. Please note: the seminar will be conducted in English and all written work must be submitted in English.
