To all 7th grade students and parents/ guardians,

The 7th grade class trip this year will occur on Thursday, May 10, 2012. We will be visiting “Medieval Times” in Lyndhurst, NJ, and the Imax Theater in the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, NJ. The cost per child is $78 – Cash,or checks made out to BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP MIDDLE SCHOOL.

Medieval Times is a fun and interesting venue that correlates with the 7th grade curriculum. The students will witness jousts, swordplay, contests, and chivalry in a high interest story line that closely resembles what was studied this year. Students should bring some cash with them on the trip only if they want to buy souvenirs. I would recommend they bring an extra $2.00 to visit the “Dungeon of Horrors” as it displays the various torture devices that were discussed in the social studies classes.

In the Liberty Science Center we will be viewing a high interest film: “To The Artic”, which will provide an exhilarating viewing of the Artic region.

Transportation for this trip will be provided by Starr Tours coach buses for the comfort of our students and staff. We will leave the Middle school by 8:30 am and return appx. 5:30 pm. Please be prompt to pick up your child.

1. Trip - Thursday, May 10 from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

2. Trip cost - $78 (Cash, or checks made out to: BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP MIDDLE SCHOOL.

3. Money due – By April 20th.

4. No refunds – If the student is ill, suspended, ineligible, or for any reason misses the trip – no

refunds can be given. (All vendors will have been paid for, and they do not issue

refunds to us.)

money, and permission form.

Please detach this portion and return it to your homeroom teacher ASAP, and at the very latest Friday, April 20, with the signed permission slip and the $78 fee. Students will not be assigned a bus seat until they are paid in full. There will be no refunds for any reason (illness, suspension, disciplinary actions, ineligibility, etc.).
